Meaning of Nizar
First of all we must know how do we spell "NIZAR". It can be spell in three ways. The Alphabets are:
1. Noon + Zoin + Alif + Ray
2. Noon + Zaal +Alif + Ray
3. Noon + Zay + Alif + Ray
The "NIZAR" in our case comes under category 3. But here we will discuss all three.
Category 1
The origion of this word comes from the word 'NAZAR' means eye-sight. So the meaning of 'Nizar' here is "One who sees." We normally use word 'Nazaaraa' means sight-seeing.
Category 2
The origion of this word is from the word 'NAZAR' means to give, to hand over, to devote. So the meaning of this word is devotee, giver or generous. We know the word 'Nazrana' which we normally use when we give some present to our Imam. That falls in this category.
Category 3.
Now we come to our origional question. The meaning of this 'Nizar' is humble, beggar, Poor, Weak. Don't consider your self inferior to other who has got this name. We hear the name Ghulam Ali, Faqir Mohammed, Khadim Ali. It shows that I (the one who has got this name) am nothing but just an humble servant of Mowla Ali.
