The melody of the geet is from the popular song "Tumhi Mere Mandir" from the movie Khandan (1965) originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

Amin Mawani sings "Ek Vaar Mare Gaamde Aavo" as part of Imamat Day 2022 celebrations on the JollyGul platform.

This song was originally sung by Khursheed Nurali who needs no introduction - she is a towering figure in the Ismaili devotional geet scene. Many of her geets (including this one) written by the legendary songwriter Hassanally G. Rammal (Suman) and sung decades back are still very popular today and have become quintessential devotional titles.

Samir Raval and Mana Raval (Samir-Mana), India's first husband-wife music director duo were in charge of music production in this rendition we are presenting today.

Vocals were recorded by Kepha Ysrayl at BBM Studios, Aurora, Canada. Recording, mixing & mastering is done by Richard Christian & Jayendra Mulerkar at Dolphin Studio, Ahmedabad, India.
