The translation of the whole Ginan is required, not the first line. I am working on it and it will appear here soon.

Ohang namo Gur shabd hoy

This Ginan is a dialogue between Pir Hassan Kabirdeen and a Hindu ascetic.

Ohang namo Gur shabd hae,
aad antko ves;
danddvat chit se karun,
mukh se kahun aadesh - ho piraa 1

O Peer! The all-pervasive and powerful word (Ohang) is the word of the Guide. It is in the lineage from the beginning to the end. I prostrate with my chit (consciousness, heart, mind) and from my mouth, I utter aadesh greeting.

Aades aades to aagun hotaa,
jab hotaa Farsi Raam;
dwaapur se vevaar gayaa,
ab kaho puraa salaam - ho jogi 2

O ascetic! Aadesh was of the past at the time of Farsi Ram. The relationship with the Duapur Yuga is over. Now utter proper Salaam.

Aayaa na chhoddu me lenne na jaaun,
kahe meraa abdhut meraa naao - ho piraa 3

O Peer! I cannot give up that which has come to me and I cannot go for the new (worship). So says my sage guide, the one who bathes me.

Aayaabi chhoddo sat lene bhi jaao,
kahe meraa Satgur;
me vichaar kari khaaore - ho jogi 4

O ascetic! Give up what has come down to you and go for the truth. So says my True Guide. I have reflected upon this and therefore you may consume it (my understanding).

Chhoti kahe men jugat ki raanni,
chhoti ki chhot utaare paanni;
paanni ki chhot utaare pavan,
pann jiv ki chhot utaare konn? - ho piraa 5

O Peer! The deficient one says that she is the queen of the path. The deficiencies of the deficient one are removed by water. The deficiencies of water are removed by air. But who will remove the deficiencies of the soul?

Kaayaa kunpali man kasturi,
ane ginaan jiv ki joti;
jis ghaatt me Ali Nabi vase,
tise kiun kar laage chhoti - ho jogi 6

O ascetic! The physical form is the tender shoot and the heart/mind is the musk. The Ginaan (Divine knowledge and wisdom) is the light. In whose body resides (the Noor, remembrance of) Hazarat Ali and the Prophet, how can there be any deficiency?

Konnso pinddhat konn so pindh,
tam kis sirke inddh;
kiaa mili nivaalaa khaao,
kis karannie amraapuri jaaore - ho piraa 7

O Peer! Who is the priest? What is the body? Whose body is this head? Where can I meet and have the morsel? Through what actions can I attain paradise?

Manvaa hamaaraa pinddhat kahie,
kaaya hamaari pinddh;
ham Sri Islaam Shaah ke pinddh,
gat maan mili vichaari khaae,
is karannie amraapuri jaae - ho jogi 8

O ascetic! My mind is the priest. My physical form is the body. I am the body of Sri Islam Shah. I the gat (congregation) we meet and consume reflections (about faith). It is through these actions that we attain paradise.

Konn tamaari janoi kahie,
konn tamaari dhoti,
konn tamaaraa shabd kahie,
konn tamaari pothi? - ho piraa 9

O Peer! What is your sacred thread? What is your attire? What is your word? What is your religious scripture?

Agam hamaari janoi kahie,
nigam hamaari dhothi,
akhandd hamaaraa shabd kahie,
kaayaa hamaari pothi - ho jogi 10

O ascetic! The foremost mystery is my sacred thread. The vedas are my attire. The Unbroken is my word and my physical form is the religious scripture.

Konn so nagar konnso thaan,
konn lok vase pardhaan;
konn raajaa konn metaa,
kaho kaho is nagari ki vaachaa - ho piraa 11

O Peer! What city? What abode? Who are the ministers? Who are the kings and who are the friends? Relate to me the details of this city.

Kaayaa nagari avsar thaan,
maanhe paanch lok vase pardhaan;
hans raajaa pavan metaa,
lio lio is nagari ki vaachaa - ho jogi 12

O ascetic! My physical form is the city. The occasion is my abode. In in there are five ministers. My soul is the king and my breath is my friend. Accept this narrative of the city.

Konn jaage konn sove,
konn dodis dhaave,
paachaann keraa konn guru,
so konn maarag laave? - ho piraa 13

O Peer! Who is awake? Who sleeps? Who suckles? Who is the guide of the past? Who will bring forth the stations/stages?

Hans jaage pinddh sove,
maayaa do dis dhaave;
paachaann kaa ginaan guru,
so ginaan maarag laave - ho jogi 14

O ascetic! My soul is awake. My body sleeps. The illusory existence suckles. The Ginaan is the guide of the past. Ginaans bring forth the stations/stages.

Chaar jug kaa konn tirath,
ane konn tirath momanaa;
chalti nadi to konn tirath,
konn tirth khatt darsannaa re - ho piraa 15

O Peer! What are the modes of pilgrimage of the four ages? Who were the devotees performing the pilgrimage. Who were performing pilgrimage of flowing rivers? Who performed the pilgrimage of the six paths?

Chaar jug kaa mam tirath,
ginaan tirath momanaa;
chalti nadi andar tirath,
Sat Panth khatt darsannaa re - ho jogi 16

O ascetic! I am the pilgrimage of the four ages. Ginans are the devotees performing the pilgrimage. The flowing river is inside the pilgrimage. The True Path is the six paths.

Ketaa varas meg jal barse,
kiun gagan antar taare;
chhatris baras ni megh jal barse,
dhoe gagan antar taare - ho jogi 17

O Peer ! For how many years will it rain? How will the skies save the interiors? O ascetic! It will rain for 36 years. The clear skies will save the interiors.

Man par bodhile saadhu alkul taaranaa,
aagu aagu hote pare pare hote;
jaare saadh nahi shabd nahi anhunkaar nahi;
dhandhukaar kahe Pir Hassan Kabirdin re - ho jogi 18

O ascetic! The Sage that who preaches to himself saves everyone. Through distant past he reads continuously. When there was no method/way, no word, no ego, there was void says Pir Hassan Kabirdeen.

Aad jogi tenu dhiyaan motto, chelaa tanni
(RAAG: NAATH TAMAARAA)- Pir Imamshah (5 verses)

Aad jogi tenu dhiyaan motto, chelaa tanni e sarve maayaa ji; kaam thaki jogi-ni kaayaa upani, to pinddh maanhe jog samaayaa;
joogesar jog-naa aasann dohelaa ji 1

The Primal Sage (Light of Piratan) was in a state of deep contemplation, and for the sake of the disciples brought forth the illusory existence (maayaa). Through the exalted work, the material form of the Sage was created; then in the body, the Path was contained.
O aspirant, the postures (methods) of the Path are difficult.

Shabd thaki jone sahu nipaayaa, to vast rahi niaariji;
Sakti-e teni sevaa jo kidhi; te to trann dev rahiyaa dhari – joogesar2

Through the Word he created everything, then the objects remained separate from it. He served Him with strength and beheld the three divinities.
O aspirant, the postures (methods) of the Path are difficult.

Enni pere Naath jogi jo upnaa, anaath sevaae aviyaa ji; Naath anaath beu joogal jo sangam, to shreshtt sanjog beu laaviyaa - joogesar 3
[anaath: was not begotten] [joogal: together] [sangam: union, meeting]

In this manner the Master was established by the Sage and came for the purpose of worship. The Master and the Imam (the unbegotten one) when united, brought forth the circumstances for (creation of) the world.
O aspirant, the postures (methods) of the Path are difficult.

Het thaki jone shabd upnaa, tej madhe sarve samaayaa ji; trann murate teni joogat jaanni, to Naath anaath jogi-e paayaa - joogesar 4

Through love, the Word was established and, in the Light thereof, everything was encompassed. Through the three roots he understood the Path. Then the Sage attained the Imam (naath anaath)
O aspirant, the postures (methods) of the Path are difficult.

Partham hotaa te ant-e upnaa, te aade ante e jog kamaayaa ji;
Indra Imaam Shaah-e sevaa dekhaaddi, to anaath tanni sudh paai - joogesar 5

That which was at the beginning will arise at the end. For, from the beginning through the end, the Path was earned. Indra Imam Shah showed the path of worship/service and through the Imam attained the awareness.
O aspirant, the postures (methods) of the Path are difficult.

Aaj Kal jooge purann kufraan chaaliyaa
(RAAG: LOBH SAVARAATH-E)- Pir Imamshah (8 verses)

Eji Aaj Kaljooge purann kufraan chaaliyaa,
ane sati sat na raakhe koi;
tiyaan mindar mindar aapnne,
sau ghar ddaahyaa hoi 1

Today in the present age perfect infidels (kafirs) have come by. And the truthful do not maintain the truth. There, in every house and their hidden place, they are clever.

Eji Tiyaan lok nindaa bahu karshe,
munivar mukh-thi ma bolsho kaany;
tamne karshe viraa ujrraa,
te potaa-ni kamaai naakhshe khoi 2

There people will slander and backbite a great deal. Believers, do not speak anything from your mouths. They will devastate you o friends. They will render their earnings lost.

Eji Evi khari kasotti kasaav-se,
teno puro kas kahevaay;
tiyaan kharaa hashe te ghar chaalshe,
ane khotta te bhaagi jaay 3

They will inflict such hardship upon you that it will be called perfect test/trial. There those who will be genuine will go to those houses and the false ones will run away.

Eji Khottaa bhaagshe te sahu dekhtaa,
te mugati-naa fal nahi paay;
e duniyaa durijan kaaranne,
te to kaddvaa inddhrann fal khaay 4

The false ones will run away while under the watch of everyone. They will not attain the fruits of salvation. Due to this wicked world they will consume sour and bitter fruit.

Eji Have kshetr nathi re paanch-mun,
tame rolo karsho jai kyaa(n)y,
sarve vast khoi kudde paapi-e,
jenne chhoddi Imaan-ni baa(n)i 5

Now there is no fifth field, of what use will be your shouting. The sinful and the evil ones will have lost everything, the ones who have forsaken the faith-based guidance.

Eji SatPanth vori gaantthe baandhiaa,
pann murakh na jaanne-re maram;
ek til sukh-ne kaaranne,
tenne khoyaa mugat-naa dharam 6

Having earned the True Path and tied the knot, but the foolish do not know the secret. For the sake of one moment of pleasure, they lost the religion of salvation.

Eji Te aape dojak sadhaariyaa,
ane bahest na paave sohi;
be-pir thayaa te dojake paddyaa,
bhaai haathe amar farr khoi 7

They went themselves to hell and they do not attain paradise. The ones who became guideless, fell into hell. Brother, they lost the timeless/eternal fruits with their own hands.

Eji E murakh ginaan vichaari nav jue,

ghaddi pal rahyo nav jaay;
maataa kahe maaro vaachhaddo,
khorre besi dhavraave ... tuj vinaa 4

O Lord! Just as a child without a mother, a moment cannot pass by. The mother says: "it is my child". And suckles it by placing it on her lap.
Without you we are alone.

Eji paan vinaa-naa shiyaa rukhaddaa,
jal vinaa-naa nir van;
Pir Sadardin boliyaa,
purush naari-no suhaag ... tuj vinaa 5

O Lord! What are trees without leaves? Without water there are no thriving forests. Pir Sadardin pleads for the (spiritual) marriage of the Husband(Imam) and the maidens(murids).
Without you we are alone.

Eji Bhanne Pir Indra Imaamdin, Tame amiras piyo re,
Bhaai amraapuri naa sukh, Moman bhaai hete sun fari lejo re
Tame jaago maaraa jivaddaa re tame, cheto maaraa praanni,
Aaj sati jiv ne kaaranne, dhan dhan rayann viyaani 4

Pir Indhra Imamdin teaches: drink the amiras (sacred water) brothers. Thereby attain the peace of paradise repeatedly through love, O devotee brothers .
Wake up my souls and be alert, o my living ones. Today for the sake of devotees the night is made glorious and auspicious.
