Munajat of Mowla Ali Murtaza
MUNAJAT
On 30th June 2018 during UK Darbar a Nazrana of an ancient manuscript named "Munajat of Mowla Ali Murtaza" was gifted to Hazar Imam beside an old portrait of Fateh Ali Shah Qaachar ruler of Iran who bestowed the title of Aga Khan on Shah Hasan Ali Shah the 47th Imam of Ismailis. In that manuscript there are many Munajat said by Mowla Ali. Hazar Imam was very happy to receive that precious gift.
The word Munajat in Arabic is sometimes confused with the Urdu word munajat meaning a recital or a Qasida. This Munajat is often recited in praise of the Ahlul bayt. However the word Munajat in Arabic means secret conversation or confidental talk. It comes from the word Najwa Allah says in the Holy Quran:
There is no secret conversation between three people except that he is the fourth of them nor (between) five but He is the sixth of them, nor less than that nor more but He is with them wheresoever they are: then He will inform them of what they did on the Day of resurrection: surely Allah is aware of all things.(58.7)
For the belivers who love Allah, the Munajat is a form of communication with their Lord which gives peace and solace to the hearts. Many Imams have Munajat which have been compiled in different books. An example is As-Saheefa as- Sajjadiyyah which has 15 whispered prayers from Imam Zaynul' Abidin. The munajat, or "confidential talks," of Imam, ‘Ali b. Abi Talib, take the form of prayers to Allah. And when the servant ( of Allah) turns to His master in the middle of the night and does Munajat, Allah will illuminate his heart...
In my opinion Munajat is GIRYAH ZAARI taught by Mowla Ali to mu'mineen to progress spiritually and merge with Noor of Allah.
An Invocation in Munajat by Imam Ali Murtaza:
For You is all praise, O Possessor of Bounty, Glory and Eminence,
Glory be to You – You grant to whosoever You will, and withhold
O Allah! My Creator, my Fortress, and my Refuge!
To You I resort, in hardship and in ease, for relief
O Allah! Even if my mistakes have become grave and numerous
Then Your Forgiveness is far greater and limitless
O Allah! if I had given my soul all that it desired,
Then there I would be, lost in the land of regret!
O Allah! You see my position, my poverty and my destitution,
And You hear my softly whispered supplication,
O Allah! So sever not my hopes nor distract my heart (from You),
For I pine for the bounties of Your Generosity
O Allah! If You thwart me or chase me away,
Then who can I hope from, and who can I make intercede for me
O Allah! Keep me from Your punishment, indeed I am
Captive, abased, fearful, and subservient to You.
O Allah! Let knowledge of the (ultimate) proofs accompany me
When my grave becomes my abode and home
O Allah! Even if You punish me for a thousand years,
My hopes in You will nonetheless never be severed
O Allah! Let me savour Your forgiveness on the day
When neither progeny nor wealth will be of any avail
O Allah! If you do not forgive any but the doers of good,
Then who is there for the disobedient who indulge in the desires?
O Allah! If you do not watch out for me, I will be lost!
But since You do watch over me, I am never lost.
O Allah! Even though I have been negligent in pursuing goodness,
I am now tracing and following the path to forgiveness.
O Allah! I may have sinned in ignorance, but I have also always
Hoped (for Your Grace), until others wondered if I ever worried
O Allah! My sins have become mountains or even higher,
But Your capacity for pardon is far greater and loftier
O Allah! Remembrance of your might alleviates my sorrow
While remembrance of my mistakes makes my eyes shed tears
O Allah! Reduce my lapses and efface my sins
For (here) I am confessing, fearful and beseeching.
O Allah! Grant me peace from You, and tranquility
For I knock but at the gates of Your mercy
O Allah! If you distance me from Yourself or debase me,
Then what recourse do I have, O Lord – what would I do?
O Allah! Those drowned in (Your) love remain awake all night
Entreating (You) and supplicating, while the unmindful slumber
O Allah! Here are creatures, most of whom are asleep,
But the mindful use their nights to supplicate to You
But all of them hope for Your favours, and remain hopeful
Of Your infinite Mercy, and of a Heaven eternal
O Allah! My hopes have allowed me to desire amnesty,
While the ugliness of my sins has held me back
O Allah! So if You forgive me, Your pardon will save me,
Else I will be destroyed by my devastating misdeeds
O Allah! For the sake of the Hashimite Muhammad,
And the sacredness of the purified (ones) who humble themselves before You
O Allah! Resurrect me as a follower of the religion of Ahmad,
And as a repentant, devout, obedient, and humble (servant) to You
And do not deny me, O my Allah, O my Master,
His noble intercession, for he is the (perfect) mediator,
And bless him whenever a monotheist calls upon You,
And whenever the righteous bow at Your door, beseeching You.

During my college and university days I attended some sufi majalis (non Ismaili), satsung (in Karachi and Hyderabad), Ginan forum (Karachi), and late Allamah Hunzai's gatherings. Mostly in sufi majalis and particularly in Allamah's gatherings, they usually had Munajat wa Giryazari. Late Allamah Saheb and his few students said very impressive and heart felt Munajat wa Giriyazari in love of Imam and Allah (there are many recordings). Here is one more Munajat said by Mowla Ali Murtaza.
Munajaat (Whispered Prayer) of Mowla Ali (Also known as Munajat of Masjid-e-Kufa).
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
O Allah, I ask You for protection on the day when property will not avail,
nor sons except he who comes with a heart free (from evil).
And I ask You for protection on the day when the unjust one will bite his hands
saying: O would that I had taken a way with the messenger.
And I ask You for protection on the day when the guilty shall be recognized
by their marks so they shall be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
And I ask You for protection on the day when a father shall not give any satisfaction for his son
nor shall the child give any satisfaction for his father, Surely the promise of Allah is true.
And I ask You for protection on the day when the unjust shall not benefit
from their excuse and for them is curse and for them is the evil abode.
And I ask You for protection on the day when no soul shall control anything
for (another) soul and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's
And I ask You for protection on the day when a man shall flee from his brother, and his mother, his father,
his spouse, and his children, each one of them on that day will have a concern which will occupy him.
And I ask You for protection on the day when the guilty will wish to redeem himself from the chastisement by (sacrificing) his children,
and the near of kin who gave him shelter and all those that are in the earth that this might deliver him. by no means! Surely it is a flaming fire, dragging by the head.

and who can have mercy on the transient except the Eternal?

Prophet Muhammad started confidential whispering in cave of Hira where he used to stay for days and do Zikr. Afterwards Mowla Ali continued this tradition to encourage mu'mineen. This tradition of Munajat wa Giriyahzari continued by four major Sufi Tariqas who consider Mowla Ali as foundation of Sufi Tariqas. Also many Ginans fall in category of Munajat wa Giryahzari. Fallowing is a Munajat by Imam Zainul'aabideen.
MUNAJAT SAID BY IMAM ALI ZAINUL'AABIDEEN
THE WHISPERED PRAYER OF AS-SAHIFA AL-KAMILA AS-SAJJADIYYAH
BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHIM
My God, my sins have covered me in the garment of my lowliness,
My separation from you has wrapped me in the clothing of my misery!
My heart has become numb because of the dreadful sins that I have committed. So bring it to life by accepting my repentance to you!
O you ,who are my hope and aim!
O you, (whose closeness) is what I wish and what I desire!
By your honor
I do not find anyone but you, to forgive my sins
And I see no one but you to mend my brokenness!
I have submitted myself to you in repeated turnings,
And I have humbled myself to you in utter shame.
If you cast me out from your door, in whom shall I take shelter?
If you repel me from your side, in whom shall I seek sanctuary?
O! the misery that I feel at my humiliating and disgraceful actions
O! The regret that I feel at the evil deeds that I have committed!
I ask you, O! the Forgiver of great sins,
O the Mender of broken bones,
To overlook my damaging misdeeds
And hide my disgraceful secret thoughts!
At the witnessing place on the day of Resurrection, do not DEPRIVE from the coolness of your pardon and forgiveness,
And do not strip me of your beautiful tolerance and covering!
Ya Allah
let the cloud of your mercy cast its shadow upon my sins
And send down the cloud of your affection to cover my faults!
My God, Does the runaway servant go back but to His master?
Or does any anyone grant sanctuary to him from His anger but He?
Ya Allah
If remorse for sins is repentance ,then by your honor, I confess that I am one of the remorseful!
If asking for forgiveness for offenses deletes sins then, I am one of those who pray for forgiveness!
To you I return, so that you may be well pleased!
My God, through your power over me, turn me toward you,
Through your clemency toward me, pardon me,
And through your knowledge of me, be gentle toward me!
Ya Allah
You are He who has opened a door to your pardon and named it 'repentance', for you have said,
“Repent to ALLAH with an unshakable repentance”.
What is the excuse of him who remains heedless of entering the door after its opening?
Ya Allah
though the sins of your servant are ugly, your pardon is beautiful.
My God I am not the first to have disobeyed you and you turned toward him,
Or to have sought to attain your favor, and you were generous toward him.
O Responder to the distressed!
O Remover of injury!
O Greatest in goodness!
O Knower of every secret!
O Beautiful through your covering over!
I seek your kindness and your generosity for your intercession,
And I seek to be by your side and your showing of mercy to mediate with you,
So grant my supplication,
Do not disappoint my hope in you,
Accept my repentance,
And hide my offense, through your kindness and mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

MUNAJAT BY IMAM ZAINUL'AABIDEEN FOR LOVE AFFECTION AND YEARNING FOR ALLAH
BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHEEM
Ya Allah, who is the one to have tasted the sweetness of your love and then looked for a replacement in place of you?
Who can claim to have become familiar with your nearness, then wanted removal from you?
Ya Allah, include us among the ones whom you have chosen for your nearness and friendship,
And (include us among the ones) whom you have purified through your love and affection,
And (include us among the ones) whom, you have given the desire for meeting with you,
And(include us among the ones) who are pleased with all your decisions,
And (include us among the ones) who are granted permission to gaze upon your face,
And (include us among the ones) whom you have shown the favor of your good pleasure,
And (include us among the ones) whom you have exempted from your separation and anger,
And (include us among the ones) who are settled in a sure sitting place in your proximity,
And (include us among the ones) who have been chosen to gain true knowledge of you,
And (include us among the ones) who you have made worthy to worship you,
And (include us among the ones) whose heart are captivated with yearning for you,
And (include us among the ones) whom you have picked for contemplating in you,
And (include us among the ones) who you have made totally absorbed in you,
And (include us among the ones) whose hearts you have freed, to experience nothing but your love,
And (include us among the ones) who you have made desirous of what is with you,
And (include us among the ones) who are inspired with your remembrance,
And (include us among the ones) who have been chosen in giving thanks to you,
And (include us among the ones) who are occupied with obeying you,
And (include us among the ones) whom you have turned into one of your righteous creatures,
And (include us among the ones) who you have chosen for reciting the whispered prayer to you,
And (include us among the ones) whom you, have inspired to cut off from all things, that may divert their hearts from remembrance of you
Ya Allah, place us among those whose habit is rejoicing in you, and yearning for you,
And (include us among the ones) whose time is spent in sighing and lamenting for you,
And (include us among the ones) whose foreheads are bowed down, before your might,
And (include us among the ones) whose eyes are awake in your service,
And (include us among the ones) whose tears flow in fear of you
And (include us among the ones) whose hearts are permanently set upon your love,
And (include us among the ones) whose hearts are detached from other things in love of you,
O He, the lights of whose holiness attracts wonder in the eyes of His lovers,
And the glory of whose face arouses the longing of the hearts of those who know him,
O the ultimate wish of the hearts of the ones who desire you,
O the utmost of the hopes of the lovers,
I ask you for your love, and also love for those who love you,
And I ask you to make me love every deed which will bring me to your proximity,
And that you make yourself more beloved to me than anything other than you,
And make my love for you to lead me to pleasing you,
And make my longing for you to protect me against disobeying you,
Honor me by allowing me to gaze upon you,
While you are gazing upon me with affection and tenderness,
And do not turn your face away from me,
And make me one with whom you are happy with and that am in your favored position,
O Responder, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

The following Ginan said by Sayed Khan is an example of Munajat, yearning in heart for love and didaar.
HU(N) RE PIYAASI PIYAA TERE DARSHAN KI
Ginan by Sayed Khan
I am so thirsty of your didar
please fulfil this expectation
I am thirsty and I adore You (I depend on You)
how come You do not worry about me?
This humble adorer has special personal services for You
(and yet) I do not know how will You turn to me?
O my sullenly cross Lord ...1
Please listen to my prayers O my Lord
do not stay incommunicative from your maid-servant
O Lord do grant my wishes
O I am greatly unhappy
If you grant me the wishes of my heart,
O the Beneficient One
I shall be most happy ...2
Like fish without water, how can I live without my Beloved?
I am giving up my life for my Lord (look at the fish)
it is so lonely without water
look how much it does, it wriggles and flounces out of uneasiness
(but) all its wriggling and flouncing do not help
because the fisherman does not take pity ...3
False is the love of the bumblebee
the didar of the Lord cannot be done this way
(the ways of the bumblebee)
false is the love of the bumblebee
it keeps on moving from bud to bud enjoying the nectar
like that the ones ignoble in character
the forgetful (and) blind
do not sacrifice their lives on their Beloved ...4
True is the love of the moth
the didar of the Lord can be done this way
true is the love of the moth
it sacrifices itself with joy and zeal over and over again
(look) how many moths sacrifice themselves over
just a single lamp ...5
I have sacrificed everything for the Beloved One (Lord)
we must offer the best of our possessions
to the Beloved One (Lord)
Please get me out of this ill-fortune
(I beseech) consider my prayers
be kind enough to keep us with You O Lord
please listen to my prayers ...6
The one who is didari will always wish this
(that) he will never leave this Lord to follow anyone else
the one who is a didari will always develop attachment
and will keep increasing in his love (for the Lord)
with everyday that passes
he will always remember the Lord
with full concentration of mind
these are the ones who get the didar of the Lord ...7
Please do not treat your orphan maid servant like this
(by keeping away from her)
If I have shortcomings please overlook them
I am your sinful maid servant
how come You do not worry about me?
I beeseech You to overlook my shortcomings O Lord
please do pay heed to my prayers ...8
We are nothing on our own we are called your maid servants
our Lord admires this (state) when one gets rid of one's ego
Such is the maid servant (of the Lord)
everyday his love for the Lord multiplies
he remembers the Lord with full concentration of mind
this is how one must sacrifice oneself ...9
We must keep ourselves to our Lord single mindedly
and enjoy that state with love
we must keep ourselves to our Lord single mindedly
and increase our love (for Him)
one who is able to sacrifice one's head for (His love)
he is the one who attains the didar of the Beloved One
(the Lord) ...10
There is nothing better than bond of love
do whatever pleases the Lord (for His love)
those who died out of such love for the Lord
such have died well
do good deeds and the Lord will give you salvation ...11
O Lord I am your sinful slave
please consider my worship for You
My Lord consider it to be joyful O friends
with the mercy of the Lord says Sayed Khan
all our difficulties are vanquished ...12

MUNAJAT BY IMAM ZAINUL 'AABIDEEN
In the Name of Allah, most compassionate, most merciful
Ya Allah, even though my provisions to come close to you are few, my absolute trust in you has given me great expectations about you
And If I am frightened by your punishment for the sins I have committed, my hope in you has given me that deep feeling of security
And if my sins have exposed me to your penalties, my compete trust in you has reminded me of your rewards.
And if negligence has put me to sleep and unaware of the day of meeting, my awareness of your generosity and blessings has alerted me
And if my excessive disobedience and rebellion have distanced me from you, the glad tidings of forgiveness have made me to feel the intimate closeness to you.
So I ask you by the pure light of your face and the light of your holiness,
And your wonderful favors, through nearness to you, and to experience the sweetness of gazing at you!
So Here I am, exposing myself to the breezes of your mercy and grace
Having the opportunity to feel the raindrops of your generosity and gentleness,
Fleeing from your anger straight to your pleasure
And fleeing from you (anger) to you, (forgiveness)
Hoping to receive for the best in your treasures
Relying upon your loving gifts
Utterly reliant toward your guardianship
Ya Allah, complete The favors and blessings on me that you have started
And do not take away the generous gifts that you have granted
Tear not away what you have covered over me through your clemency!
And forgive my bad actions, which you very well know of
Ya Allah, I ask you to be my intercessor
And I ask you to give me shelter
I have come to you craving for your beneficence, desiring for your kindness,
Seeking water of generosity from the overflow of your graciousness,
Begging for rain from the clouds of your bounty, requesting for your pleasure,
Arriving at the watering-place of your support,
Seeking glorious good things from your quarter,
Reaching for the presence of your beauty,
Desiring to see your face,
Knocking at your door,
Abasing myself before your might and majesty!
So act toward me with the forgiveness and mercy of which you are worthy!
And act not toward me with the punishment and vengeance of which I am worthy!
By Thy mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!
In the Name of Allah, most compassionate, most merciful

The Ginanic word for silent conversation is 'gotthaddee' as in:shivaathervedi wrote:MUNAJAT
The word Munajat in Arabic is sometimes confused with the Urdu word munajat meaning a recital or a Qasida. This Munajat is often recited in praise of the Ahlul bayt. However the word Munajat in Arabic means secret conversation or confidental talk. It comes from the word Najwa Allah says in the Holy Quran:
jeere vaalaa gur-nar saathe gotthaddee keeje,
tatav akhasar sudh leeje re vaalaa;
jenne thakee bhavasaagar taree-e,
sevaa saaheb jee nee keeje re vaalaa...aaj mee(n)dar..............5
O dear one, maintain loving closeness with the Guide and Lord, and become aware of the real meaning of the Word. Serve the Master, through whom the ocean of existence is safely crossed, dear brother.

GOTTHADDEE means secret talk, in urdu it's equivalent is ' RAAZ WA NIYAZ ' means secret talk of lovers.kmaherali wrote:The Ginanic word for silent conversation is 'gotthaddee' as in:shivaathervedi wrote:MUNAJAT

O dear, have close relationship with Gur Nar (murshid), so that through his guidance you will come to know the wisdom of akhshar 'the word'. Then through this ISM (akhshar) and by serving Gur Nar you will sail through the ocean of your existing life.

Munajat Shabaniyah of Imam Ali
It is recommended to say the following whispered prayer (munajat) in the month of Shaban. It has been narrated by Ibn Khilawayh who commented on it, saying, “This is the confidential prayer of Imam Ali Ameer al-Mumineen who usually used to recite it in the month of Shaban.” Please note Munajats said by Mowla Ali are for Shi'aan e Ali to follow and recite.
O Lord You listen to my prayer whenever I pray,
listen to my call whenever I call upon you,
and accept from me whenever I confidentially whisper to You,
for here I am fleeing in to You standing before You,
showing submission to You, imploring You,
and hoping for the reward that You have.
You know what is in my inner self,
recognize my needs,
recognize my hidden affairs,
and all my moves and stillness are known by You.
So are all the utterances which I want to begin with,
all the requests that I want to express,
and all the expectation that I hope for my future.
All that which You, O my Lord, have decided for me
up to the end of my life,
including my secret and open matters, shall be experienced by me.
And it is in Your Hand, not anybody else’s, that are all increase and decrease,
and all my benefits and harms that come upon me.
O my Lord, if You deprive me (of Your sustenance), then who else can ever provide me with sustenance?
If You disappoint me, then who else can ever back me?
O my Lord, I do seek Your protection against Your wrath and against the befalling of Your ire upon me.
O my Lord, if I do not deserve Your mercy,
You are still expected to confer upon me with Your expansive favor.
O my Lord, I now imagine how I will stand before You,
shaded by my good idea about You on account of my trust in You,
and You will decide for me that which befit You and You will include me with Your forgiveness.
O my Lord, if you pardon me, then who else is worthier than You are in pardoning.
If my time of death is approaching while my deeds are still too short to approach me to You,
I am then considering my confession of being guilty to be my means towards You.
O my Lord, I have wronged myself when I allowed myself to behave unrestrainedly;
therefore, woe will betide me if You do not forgive.
O my Lord, You have never ceased Your favors from me all my lifetime;
so, (please) do not stop Your favors from covering me after my death.
O my Lord, how can I despair of Your nice custody over me after my death
while You have not shown me but the good throughout my lifetime?
O my Lord, (please) manage my affairs in the very way that befits You,
and confer upon me—a sinful person who is covered by his ignorance—with Your favors.
O my Lord, You have concealed my sins in my worldly life,
but I need Your concealment more urgently in the Next Life.
You have thus not disclosed my sins before any of Your righteous servants;
therefore, (please) do not expose me on the Resurrection Day before all the witnesses.
O my Lord, it is Your magnanimity that expanded my hope,
and surely Your pardon is more preferable than my deeds.
O my Lord, so (please) delight me when I meet You on the day when You shall judge between Your servants.
O my Lord, I submit to You the apology of one who cannot dispense with the acceptance of his excuse;
so, (please) accept my excuse,
O most Magnanimous of all those before whom the guilty make an apology.
O my Lord, (please) do not reject my request,
do not fail my big hope for You,
and do not disappoint my desire and expectation for You.
O my Lord, had You wanted to humiliate me, You would not have guided me (to You).
Had You decided to disclose me, You would not have saved me.
O my Lord, I do not expect You to reject my request that I spent my whole lifetime asking for it from You.
O my Lord, all praise be to You, forever, forever, perpetually, everlastingly,
increasingly, and imperishably, as exactly as You like and please.
O my Lord, if You punish me for my offense, I shall demand with Your pardon,
if You punish me for my sins, I shall demand with Your forgiveness,
and if You decide to send me to Hell, I shall declare to its inhabitants that I love You.
O my Lord, if my deed is too little when compared to the true obedience to You,
then my hope for You is too big when compared to my prospect from You.
O my Lord, how can it be that I return from You with disappointment and deprivation
while I expect, depending upon Your magnanimity, that You will endow me with safety and mercy?
O my Lord, I have spent my whole lifetime with the vigor of being negligent to You
and I have spent my whole youth with the inebriety of being far away from You.
O my Lord, I have not thus woken up to myself during the period when I seductively felt safe from Your punishment
and when I was taking the path that ends with Your ire.
O my Lord, nevertheless, I am—Your servant and the son of Your servant—now standing before You
and begging You in the name of Your generosity.
namely, my shameless inconsideration of You,
and I am hereby appealing for Your pardon since pardon is one feature of Your generosity.
except after You aroused me to love You.
Hence, I have become as exactly as You want me to be.
I have thus thanked You, for You have included me with Your generosity
and You have purified my heart from the filths of being inattentive to You.
O my Lord, (please) look at me in the same way as You have looked at one whom You called and he has responded to You
and whom You have conferred with Your aid and he thus has obeyed You.
O He Who is too close to depart from one who is inadvertent to Him!
O He Who is too magnanimous to deprive one who hopes for His reward!
O my Lord, (please) grant me a heart whose longing for You will approach it to You,
a tongue whose truthfulness is directed to You,
and a sight whose righteousness advances towards You.
O my Lord, he who recognizes You shall never be anonymous,
he who seeks Your shelter shall never be disappointed,
and he whom is attended by You shall never be boring.
O my Lord, he who abides by Your Path shall be enlightened,
and he who resorts to You shall be succored.
I am thus having recourse to You, O my God!
So, (please) do not disappoint me as regards Your having mercy upon me
and do not divest me of Your kindness.
O my Lord, grant me, among those who show servitude to You,
the position of one who (incessantly) longs for more love for You.
O my Lord, (please) inspire me with passionate love for ceaseless reference to You,
and (please) devote all my pursuit to my attaining the delight of the success that is achieved through Your names and the amount of Your Holiness.
O my Lord, I beseech You in Your name to put me in the position of those who are obedient to You
and in an honorable standing of Your pleasure,
for I, verily, have no power to rescue
or to benefit myself.
O my Lord, I am Your servant—the feeble and sinful—
and Your slave—the penitent.
So, (please) do not include me with those against whom You have turned Your face
or those whom are deprived of Your pardon because of their inattentiveness to You.
?O my Lord, (please) grant me absolute devotion to You
and illuminate the sights of our hearts with the light of observing of You
so that the sights of the hearts will penetrate the Screens of Light
and arrive at the Core of Magnificence,
and that our souls hang to the majesty of Your Holiness.
?O my Lord, (please) make me of those who responded to You when You called them,
those who were shocked for Your Majesty when You observed them
and You have thus taken into their confidence and they acted for You openly.
O my Lord, I have shaded neither despair nor gloom over my good idea about You
and I have never lost hope in Your excellent magnanimity.
O my Lord, if my sins have overthrown me in Your sight,
O my Lord, if my wrongdoings have caused me to lose Your honorable kindness,
then my belief in You has called my attention to the generosity of Your sympathy.
O my Lord, if my inadvertence has screened me against readying myself for meeting You,
then my recognition of the generosity of Your bounties has awakened me.
O my Lord, if Your grave chastisement has drawn me to Hellfire,
then Your opulent reward has drawn me to Paradise.
O my Lord, You alone do I pray and You alone do I implore and desire.
I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
who never breach their covenant to You,
who never fail to thank You,
and who never belittle Your affairs.
O Lord of Majesty and Honor!
May Allah send blessings to Muhammad, His Messenger, and upon his Ahl Bait the Infallible, and exalt them very much.

then my hope for You is too big when compared to my prospect from You.
