As-Salamu Alaykum, It's always nice when we can learn from another.

Well, We're Nizari Ismailis, who belong to the Shia branch. We believe that there is one God, and that Muhammad (PBUH) was his last messenger. We believe that Hazrat Ali was the first Imam. His spiritual leadership continues through hereditary succession. And we believe that His Highness the Aga Khan is the current living Imam.

Our faith has concepts that are both exoteric and esoteric. A large component of our faith deals with the pursuit of intellect, and helping others. There are many examples of this (www.theismaili.org, and akdn.org).

I'm not sure what you're looking for. But I would highly recommend that you check out this website if you are truly interesting in finding out more about us from a CREDIBLE source:

Norton,
Ginans are a Tafsir (science of explanation and interpretation) of Quran-e-Sharif, during the time of Ismaili Pirs in Indo subcontinet peoples were not know Arabic language therefor Ismaili Ginans were made in their(twenty four different) languages, so they can easily understand.
You can obtain all kind information in ginan specialy upliftment of your soul, future predictions, health, good behaviours, salvation, science e.t.c. there for our Imam once quoted in his one Farman that" Ginans are a wonderful tradition".

The ginans are always in poetical forms except the Granths.

There are also Ginans in other branch of Islam too, but its known as different name like Qasidas, rubaiyat, Kawwali, sufi poems, munajat e.t.c. in Hindu religion its call Bhajan.

did you obtain a login and password from them? some items may require a membership, or maybe restricted for staff and students. I imagine that your best bet would be to contact them to find out: [email protected]

Btw Norton, I'm not sure what password you're trying to use. but just to clarify. This website (ismaili.net) is private and is not affiliated with the institute of ismaili studies (which is one of the official Ismaili websites).

I believe that there are currently on 3 OFFICIAL ismaili websites:
1. http://www.iis.ac.uk/home.asp?l=en
2. www.theismaili.org
3. www.akdn.org

hope this helps.

I can help you learn more about Ismailism. I have Ismaili literature as well, that counters Twelver claims to Musa's Imamate. Email me if you're interested... [email protected].
