Love is big word when it comes to the Imam. Do we love our imam, why is it that during times of difficulty we search for him, and when life is happy, we dont think about him, why are we sometimes inspired to go to khane at 4.am and other days we just dont care/ excuses. How do we change ourselves so that we constantly have love for Him.

We humans need motivation to do anything, problems motivate us to communicate that’s y u say “we are inspired to go to JK at 4 am and other days we just don’t care”… I think at this point your love for Imam is for some need, you go to jk for help and when help is provided u don’t…
I think it’s not we but He who chooses us, many don’t go to JK in problems but they find solutions (or they think there problems are solved)… I think we can only pray for our love to be constant all the time or else He will keep us in problems all of our life… I did many experiments to be consistent in prayer as well as to satisfy myself, sometimes I use to pray at different corners of room to find peace… sometime I said to Allah not to take my pain off or solve my problem as when I find solution I will be always again… I think we can’t digest three time food at a time so Allah lets us away and being us back… even if ur not inspired don’t forget to do Dua and Tasbi when u r find time, ask help when u in problems and be thankful when your not in problems…
Thief’s will only steal at a place where treasure is… so if u have Allah in your heart our Nafs will do something to hurt us so that we call Allah….! Once I saw my roommate(x) doing Namaz, I asked other roommate how come X is praying today he replied X’s father is dead… after a week X stopped prayer I told why did u stop praying do u want Allah to give u pain daily so that u pray… why don’t u spend sometime for prayers … take this as a sign from above and atleast do farz namaz!
Talking of Love for The Imam I’m remind of this verse (2:115) “To God belong the east and the west: whithersoever ye turn, there is the presence of God. For God is All- Pervading, All-Knowing”. The person in love with Allah or Allah’s Imam will find only His face whichever way he turns; even if he has problems or not he is always remember his Obligation and Duties …!

I quote a farman of MHI.
Nothing makes me happier to know that my spiritual children are regular in their attendance in Jamat Khana, and nothing will make me sad then to know that you are not regular in Jamat Khana.
(paraphrasing)..i believe this is a Nairobi farman from 1964.
Attendance in Jamat Khana along with Dua and Dasondh are compulsory parts of our faith.
