YAM everyone,

This is not a rumour. It is true. Mowlana Hazar Imam has graciously
accepted to give deedar to the Indian jamat. Deedar is happening in
Hyderabad where they are arranging for approximately 125,000 people. The jamat has already received the taliqah regarding this and are all now busyin preparations. Mowlana Hazar Imam will be in India from September 21-23 and the deedar will likely be held on September 22. Ghani ghani Mubaraki
to you all!!

Take care,

Like Mowla says in one of the farmans,
"You have heard of our arrival and you have come here of which you will
Be rewarded once in this world and thousand folds in the next; this is what
We pray for you"

As India becomes the focus of the attention of the Jamats worldwide in the coming days due to the Holy Padhramni this month, it would be appropriate to reflect upon the historical significance of the India Jamat. MHI at the Takht Nashini ceremony in Mumbai made the following statement.

"Bombay, as you now have been reminded, has very close associations with my family. It was here, and here alone, that my grandfather was acclaimed as the forty-eighth Imam of the Shia Imami Ismailis. That was 73 years ago and at that time he was only eight years old. What tremendous changes have come about since those days! The Ismaili community has grown and prospered almost beyond recognition. Thanks to my grandfather's guidance and wisdom, Ismaili families are to be found today all over the world, living peaceably beneath the flags of many nations, owing allegiance to a wide variety of governments.

In some ways, therefore, it could be said that Bombay is the birth-place of our modern, world-wide community. I hope that the Ismailis who live here will remember this fact and their duty to set an example which other communities abroad will be proud to follow.

I feel certain that great opportunities lie ahead for you in this country. For, while it is true that the Ismailis have developed and grown during the past eighty years, how much more evident is this of India herself. India was one of the five great Asian powers to win independence, and by voluntarily electing to associate herself with the Commonwealth of Nations, she was also the first to embrace wholeheartedly the concepts of individual liberty and parliamentary democracy.

To guarantee, as your government has done, that every man and woman should have the right to speak, write, vote and worship as he or she thinks best, subject only to the common rule of law, is a tremendous undertaking for any nation. For a country with a population of more than 350 million, a country with a civilization as old, and a government structure as new as this one, wrestling with what must often seem an almost intolerable burden of poverty and illiteracy, it is one of the most courageous political experiments the world has ever seen. The manner in which India has set about her task, both politically and economically, has captured the imagination of thinking people everywhere.

Of course, the picture is not uniformly bright; it never is. There are shadows born of the past as well as those which loom in the future. These are inevitable. They constitute an abiding challenge to the courage, integrity and foresight of India's leaders, both present and to come.

In all humility, I suggest that the challenge will most surely be faced and overcome if this nation stands fast by the liberal principles which it honours today. If India continues to uphold the simple rights of the individual, if she goes on tolerating the minority as well as the majority points of view, if she never falters in her determination to do everything possible to relieve poverty and human suffering, I feel sure she will triumph over her difficulties and set an example to all those other countries which face similar problems.

The Ismailis are a relatively small segment of the huge, complex tapestry we know as modern India. But I believe they will play a full and by no means unimportant part in the future development of this country.

To all Ismaili here today, I would say this. There is nothing exclusive about you. While your religious faith will always preserve a special identity, your secular loyalty is solely to India and to its elected government. I urge my community to keep this constantly in their minds. But they should do more still. The Ismailis have always prided themselves on their highly developed social conscience. Our faith teaches us that we have obligations far beyond our own or even our family's interests. If you remain united, work towards community progress, and respect your leaders, you will, I am sure, go far. As part of the nation of India, you must contribute your share to her advancement.

With humility, tolerance and respect for each other, by honest work and straight dealings, you will earn the true friendship of your fellows. It does not matter whether you are wealthy or poor, whether you are in business or the professions, whether you work with hands or brain, your spiritual obligations are equal. By the way you conduct your daily lives, by the compassion you show to your fellow men and women, and above all by your faith in God, you will ultimately be judged"

India has also provided the 'fertile soil' in which the ginanic tradition was firmly rooted and grew through which our Jamats have been nourished and sustained spiritually and have been able to overcome many of their trials and tribulations in their path towards material progress and advancement in the past decades.

MUBARAKIS TO THE INDIAN JAMAT ON THE OCCASSION OF THE FORTHCOMING HOLY PADHRAMNI. MAY THIS VISIT SERVE TO PROMOTE UNITY AND STRENGTHEN THE JAMAT. AMEEN.

Guidance - for internal travelling in Hyderabad

Post by hsb »

Hi Friends
Mubarakis to all on this special occasions.
Needed some guidance. Many murids will be visitng Hyderabd for the first time. If someone can post a roadmap as to how we can reach

(1) Jamatkhana
(2)Venue of Deedar, etc..

from Railway station, Airport, Govt Bus Station and from Main Highway. It will be very useful and they will not waste time in searching the location.

Also they will know names of places we have to ask for.

I am aware that volunteers will always be there on these places, but if we have a roadmap in hand it will of great HELP.
Thanks.

Mubarak to all Murids visiting Hyderabad(Hyd) on the special occasions. I am a Hyderabadi living in Paris; I can help anyone who is visiting Hyderabad by giving information. I think it’s not possible to get road map but if someone gives me place of their stay I can guide them how to reach Kompally.

Hyderabad also known as twin cities as it’s made of two cities Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

They are three languages easily spoken Hindi/Urdu, Telugu and English.

It has an Airport in at Begumpet (International and Domestic at same place) which links both cities easily. They are different fights connecting Hyderabad from different parts of India. Some of the airlines are;

Murids from outside India can directly connect to Hyderabad from Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

From Europe
1) Air France

Direct from Amsterdam, Netherlands to hyd or From Paris via Netherlands to Hyd.

2) Lufthansa air lines

Direct from Frankfurt to hyd.

(http://www.lufthansa.com/online/portal/ ... ?tl=1&l=en)

They are direct flights form UK but I have no info.

From Middle East

They are direct fights from almost every country.

From Saudi Arab Direct flights from Riyadh

Saudi airline, Air India, etc

From Qatar, direct flights from Doha

Qatar Air

From UAE direct fights Dubai

Emirates (http://www.emirates.com).

From Asian countries they are flight Sir lanka, Malaysia and Singapore.
Murids from India can use any of these airlines.

1) Kingfisher Airlines
(http://www.flykingfisher.com/schedule1.htm)

2) Air India
(http://www.airindia.com/)

3) Indian Airlines
(http://indian-airlines.nic.in/home.asp)

4) Air Sahara.

5) Jet Airways.

They are two railway stations;

1) Nampaly Stations (Hyderabad), trains coming from central India use this station.

2) Secunderabad Station trains coming from North and south use this station.

If someone wants reach Hyderabad by road they are private Bus services. you can reach Hyd with in 13 hrs from Mumbai if u take a bus.

I would advice Murids not to take person vehicles if you are visiting hyd for first time as its easy in Hyderabad but people often get lost before reaching hyd.

Feel free to write me for info, I will reply as fast as posible. [email protected]

There is interesting and useful information about Hyderabad at:

http://www.hyderabad.co.uk/tourist.htm

Hyderabad, a city with a deep-rooted past lies on the banks of river Moosi. It's language and mannerisms still exude it's rich and legendary past. The Nizam's of Hyderabad were known to be one of the wealthiest royal's of the past. The elegant buildings, marbled temples and monuments stand testimony to it. This 400 year old city was named after Hyder Mahal wife of the ruler Quli Qutab Shah. Today Hyderabad is the capital of Andhra Pradesh and is a cosmopolitan city on the fast track.

Ya Ali Madad,

When I was in Hyderabad last February while shopping I meet an Ismaili brother. We discussed Faith, he said me if u live in Paris do u get a chance to see Mowlana Hazar Imam, I replied yes I go to race club for main events where Imam comes and I get chance to see him. Well he said zubair are lucky I didn’t see Imam since years, when Imam gave Dedaar to Hyderabad I was a kid and want to have his Dedaar. At end of our conversation I thought in my heart that I am not lucky but Chirstophe Soumillon is lucky (Belgian born horse Jockey who rides Imam’s horses) I see him shaking hands with Imam, talk to Imam and Imam spend lot of time with him on field.

It lucky or blessing: one of Ismaili brother who heard Imam is coming to Hunza for Dedaar, stated from his house due to insufficient means to travel he was running late and was not sure of reaching Hunza at time but his will and hope that he will meet Imam today was strong. Imam plane was passing over him, Mowlana Hazar Imam The rahamat ul lil alamin knew he would not reach Hunza at time, Imam requested his pilot to land his plane on hills, pilot refuse to land by saying he cant find place for proper landing, imam said you will find place. Imam plane landed and the Ismaili brother had his Dedaar and was honour by Mowlana Hazar Imam.

Lucky are the brothers and sisters who are blessed by true faith which creates miracles. I sincerely thank Mowlana Hazar Imam for his blessing and honour.

I welcome all Jamats visiting Hyderabad for Dedaar.

If you need information of Hyderabad please mail me [email protected]

You can also SMS me. Just leave me your name and phone I will call back as soon as possible. 00 33 6 16 90 38 55.

Ya Ali Madad,

Just want to caution that everyone who encounters the Imam in the physical sense does not necessarily have the deedar in the sense of a murid experiencing it. It all depends upon the inner preparation which leads to the correct understanding and recognition of the Imam. It is also a personal experience. Everyone will not have the same experience.

To illustrate the point I am trying to make, the well known Fatimid Dai Al- Muaayyad Shirazi had his first physical encounter with the Imam in presence of others. Whereas he was awe-struck and dumbfounded by the experience, others felt nothing. The following is what he says about his first experience with the Imam.

"I was taken near the place wherefrom I saw the bright Light of the Prophethood. My eyes were dazzled by the Light. I shed tears of joy and felt as if I was looking at the face of the Prophet of Allah and of the Commander of the Faithful, Hazrat Ali. I prostrated myself before the one who is the fittest person to bow to. I wanted to say something, but 1 was awe-struck... I tried to speak but my tongue refused to move. People asked me to say what I wished to say. I could say nothing. The Imam said, 'Leave him. Let his fear and awe subside.' After this, I rose. I took the holy hand of the Imam, placed it on my eyes and on my chest and then kissed it. I left the place with immense joy."

Hoping that u have booked ur tickets to hyd for Dedaar. When you reach Hyd airport ask taxi or Auto driver to take you to Abids Chrirag Ali lane,,,,, chirag ali lane is full of shops and 80 percent of the shop owners are Ismailis and main JK is in this lane. From JK you can get clear address of the place of Dedaar.

ya ali madad. Just discovered this website that might help people who are used to using google maps/yahoo maps for directions. It is not too accurate but will give a larger picture of the city of hyderabad. Print-outs from this site might prove helpful to newcomers too.

http://beta.mapmyindia.com/
-review of this website - http://www.webyantra.net/2006/09/16/map ... d-mapping/

-I suggest just typing in 'hyderabad' and AP for state and then zoom in and take some print-outs.
