It is with deep sorrow to have received sad news from Leicester, Leicestershire, England, Great Britain on the passing on of Mr. Mohamed Gullamhussein Mohamed Jindani, formerly of Stone Town, Unguja, Zanzibar. Marhemu Mohamed was the son of the late Gullamhusein
Mohamed Jindani, an elder in Zanzibar and East Africa and for his services to the Ismaili community , he was bestowed the title of Diwan by the Late Mowlana Sultan Mohamed Shah (Aga Khan III).
Marhemu Mohamed left Zanzibar as a young lad for schooling in Great Britian, the former colonial power of Zanzibar. He later graduated as Barrister or Solicitor and practised his profession in Leicester, England until close to his departure from this duniya.

Mohamed was the only son of Diwan Gulamhussein Mohamed Nasser Jindani. Diwan Jindani was originally from Zanzibar and then moved to Mombasa and Nairobi. Special prayers will be recited for his soul at Ismailia Mosque in North Vancouver, Western Canada, North
America on Thursday, June 06, 2013, after evening prayers.
