Looking to convert

Post by HusseinY »

Assalaamu alaykum,

I looked into converting to Ismaili Islam last year and wrote to the centre in London, etc however I never went any further with it after receiving a reply to my enquiry. The reasons for this were many including that I did not feel I had a proper grounding in the faith and wished to carry out more research. Do you think this will stand against me should I seek to convert once again?

Also, if one is looking to convert, how long does the usual procedure take, if one was progressing at a steady level?

Many thanks,
kmaherali
