According to the Imam, what are his views on believing in this sort of thing.
I believe what some tell me, the ones that just read, or sense without charging money....

Is it wrong to believe. What does our Imam tell us about this gift, as it is referred to.

I feel that sometimes my senses tell me things, but I have been told that our faith is against the belief in such things, and question myself over and over again.

I have known an Ismaili girl who can see the past and future, and she reads the Quran, is a regular practicing Ismaili, and does not charge anyone who is searching for answers, she is a visionary, and also a medium, if needed, but that is very hard for her to do, therefore she just reads pasts and futures, what she can.

People do acquire many capacities which would appear to be miraculous or outside the normal capacity of humans. There is nothing wrong with having this capacity. The danger is that it can sidetrack one from the real destiny of life.

I personally feel that everyone has a little bit of a sixth sense and if little things happen, such as remembering someone after a long time and then you see them, or something like getting a funny feeling about something and then it comes true, or having a dream that comes true; I don't think it's a sin but it can only mean you're in touch with yourself, the world around you, and the Creator and sometimes these things make you closer to God. What I believe is a sin is when people exploit these capacities they have when they write books, go on tv trying to promote psychic lines and things like that and abuse their power. I think if things like these happen, it should really be between allah and yourself and you should just say shukhar when it happens and just accept it when it happens without going too deep into it. Once in awhile I would have things like these happen to me and I used to wonder what was going on but have just come to accept that it's Allah's doing and I won't really obsess over it though it doesn't happen that much anymore for some time.
