What happens in practice is that people who are unauthorized still abuse policies set by the Imam and read private and confidential letters.

I was told once by the head of Huzur department in North America that "we can not give to Hazar Imam sealed envelops as they may contain insults or accusation towards leaders, we read them and give the leaders the opportunity to reply before submitting the letter with the answers to the Imam and we put many offensive letters in the garbage". So that is how it happens.

But the fact is that we have to respect the Farman to send through Council. There is no way out.

Could you write that Farman please. Where and when. I didn’t know about this

Then how come DJI members open the letters addressed to Imam and on whose orders when Imam assured jamaits that sealed letters will not be opened.

I will try to find it back but I have read it, there is such Farman. Meanwhile here is an interesting one also:

"I have heard of your work and am very pleased with it. If you have any problems, send Me letters. If it is concerning business, write Me the full details. If it is concerning health, send Me doctor's reports as well. (Lindi, Tanzania, 3rd Nov. 1966)

Not sure for the Covid period.

Just write and give it to Council or your Mukhi and tell him that it is a letter to be send to Hazar Imam. They will give you a confirmation in writting that they have send.

But if there any ways to talk to Mukhi remotely? For example to Mukhi in Lisbon. I am sorry if my question was silly. But this is important. Thanks in advance.

Hi, i was looking for mawla Bapa contact and somehow i found this post. I don’t know from where I start but I also tried to approach mukhi and council to send a letter to mawla Bapa, and since I lost My father and need a fatherly advice regarding a problem which I am currently facing at a young age and not know what to do regarding it, I believe only mawla Bapa can help me with this problem. If anyone read this post, I know this post doesn’t make any sense but can be a small source of hope for me to contact mawla Bapa.

Sorry to hear about the sad demise of you father. please accept condolence. Is your problem related to wordly affairs or some type of spiritual? In our system one is bound to contact Mukhi/Mukhyani of area first. If they are unable to solve your problem, then through Mukhi Saheb you have to send letter to president of council. It is the resposibilty of president of council to send your letter to office of Hazir Imam. My experience is, in rare case the letter reaches on desk of Hazar Imam. Letters are opend and scrutinized by some official first, if he thinks it is appropriate then it will reach the deck of Hazar Imam. If you are fortunate enough then letter can reach in hands of Hazar Imam.
Other way, if you have approach to some top leader who sympathizes with you and attends meetings in portugal, can sneak you letter and silently hand over to Hazir Imam.
Other option it can be possible to send letter through Princess Zahra Aga Khan.

There was a time when Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah used to give private audience as well answer the private letters of jamaiti memebers. Now times have changed, mostly every mureed wants audience with Imam or Imam should answer his/her letters. In the beginng Hazar Imam used to answer but work load increased as he was receiving scores of letters every day (mostly murids were asking about business affairs, where to invest money, or about health problems and which doctor to contact, or to which country I migrate, divorce problems, about family disputes and family matters to name few), besides he has to visit Ismaili community in different countries, go through the reports from various Ismaili institutions from 30/35 countries, attend meetings, meet world leaders and so on. Therefore Imam relied on Mukhis, and leadership of jamaits to solve immediate problems of Jmaits. Are they doing it sincerly or not, I can't say.
My suggestion is get the address of Portugal head office and send the letter directly to Imam, may be it reaches in the hands of Imam.
