2 think OR NOT 2 think THAT is the ?

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared.
The lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. So, this the man did day after day.
For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all of his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin rare and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.
Since the man was showing discouragement, the Satan decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind. “You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn’t moved.” Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man Satan said, “Why kill yourself one this? Just put in your time giving the minimum effort ; and that will be good enough “ That’s what the weary man planned to do, decided to make it a month of prayer and to take troubled thoughts to the Lord. “Lord” he said, “I have labors long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time. I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter what is wrong? Why am I failing?”
The lord responded compassionately, “My friend, when I asked you to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done.
“Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so?”
“Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have.”
“True, you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push to exercise your faith and trust in my wisdom. That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the rock.”
“At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what he wants, when usually what God want is just a simple obedience and faith in him.”

When I read this story I remembered the farman of SMS which said that when I say it's night it's night! when I say it's day it's day! the central idea is that we should not use our intellect in what imam says we should just obey it! and you can find couple of more farmans of SMS as well.

But then the questions arises intellect due to which we are the most supreme being but if we are not allow to use it then why was it given to us? whats it's purpose?? and then why does God says in the quran there are signs for the wise ones! and why its mention in many places to think & observe! also recently in 2000 MHI made farmans in karachi that intelelct plays a very important role in religion its of central importance!!

What are your opinions on this?? Whether to use our intellect or not??

Nice Story. In this universe there are many signs which proves the existence of God and with the help of our intellect we can try to understand the creation and about principles of our faith but when it comes for Farman or command from Lord then we can not make argument on basis of intellect to not to follow it.

MHI says in His Faramins to think on it, understand it and then follow it! this means that we are allowed to use our intellect in order to understand the faraman so that we may follow it more effectively! but we should not use our intellect in order to find reasons not to follow the farmans. Am I Right???

Parrots only say what they are taught withouht thinking or reasoning.

No ... You Are Missing Many points here to differentiate b/w Humans and Parrots.Humans Can Take Decisions, GOD has given Human Being a Better Sense to Analyze Ever think .. WHY God has Given a human Being a Honor of Ashraf-ul-Maquloqat Bcoz Humans Can Think, Analyaze and Take Decisions.<BR>If MHI Make Any Farmans, You Have to think and Analyze .. there may be 1000 different Meanings of His Farmans.<BR>Remember 1 thing ... Farmans Are the Guide and the Path of the Destination .. both physical world and for the spritual world .. if u follow it. You will find your way more easily .. if you won't follow it .. You will get Lost in both of the world .. just like If You Goto Some new place like USA or Canada .. and if u don't know the road/path its better to Follow the Guide instead of going alone in the road and hoping to find your destination by urself.
in this Way .. Listen to Farmans, Analyze it and make decisions according to your life
