Here is the LIF announcement about the Didar in France and UK

As usual, LIF does not say anything about the dates and the announcement is empty of content... as usual.

Dates are known and are circulating since sometimes already. They may be off by a couple of days but it just shows that some people are aware of the dates since several months.

TESTIMONIES FROM LONDON DARBAR BY LUCKY MURIDS - "What a beautiful, happy & peaceful deedar. Hazir Imam arrived early to the venue. MHI offered his khanavadhan and blessings to the global jamat, for murids everywhere, & to the individuals in the hall, for happiness and for mushkil asaan. He prayed that your difficulties may be resolved with equity. Equitable resolutions, equitable resolutions, he said. Is it realistic? At this point he looked at the jamat with a smile on his face & tilted his head & paused, & spread his hands wide, the jamat laughed & we understood the meaning."

Mawlana Hazar Imam graces UK Jamat with Darbar

Mawlana Hazar Imam granted a Diamond Jubilee Darbar in London yesterday for the UK jurisdiction Jamat.

Members of the Jamat from the UK, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden gathered for the historic Darbar at ExCel London. Hazar Imam recognised the contributions of the volunteers, thanking them for making the Darbar such a happy occasion for him.

Delivering a Loyalty Address on behalf of the Jamat present, Ismaili Council for the UK President Liakat Hasham expressed gratitude to Mawlana Hazar Imam, and congratulated him on the occasion of his Diamond Jubilee. Gifts were presented to Hazar Imam, including a lacquer casket made during the time of the Qajar monarch, Fath Ali Shah, as well as a manuscript titled Munajat.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the Qajar dynasty was established and ruled Persia for over 125 years. The lid of the casket depicts Fath Ali Shah seated on his throne in full regalia. It was Fath Ali Shah who appointed Mawlana Hasan Ali Shah as governor of Khumm, and granted him the honorific title of Aga Khan.

The Munajat (‘Confidential Talks’ or ‘Whispered Prayers’) of Hazrat Ali, takes the form of prayers to Allah in simple but expressive verses. Comprising seven folios, the first folio gives the chain of transmission (isnad) of the prayers, followed on subsequent folios by the prayers themselves.

Together, the two artefacts illustrate Islam’s message of the fundamental unity of spirit and life.

Following the Darbar, Mawlana Hazar Imam was given a warm send off by leaders of the Jamat and young volunteers before departing the venue, concluding his Diamond Jubilee visit to the UK.

While in the UK, Mawlana Hazar Imam hosted His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales at the inauguration of the Aga Khan Centre, a place for education, knowledge, cultural exchange, and insight into Muslim civilisations. He also met with the British Prime Minister and senior government officials.

Following this visit, Mawlana Hazar Imam will travel to Portugal to attend events marking the conclusion of the Diamond Jubilee year.

Deedar and Firmans on 29th July 2018 - London UK

Post by mahebubchatur »

London Diamond Jubilee Deedar1 - Friday 29th June 2018

Testimony

Morning at Ismaili centre, and in the afternoon at Excel centre.

These few days have been full of love, smiles and immense happiness of and from the visit and Deedar1 of Hazar Imam, with more blessings & guidance from Hazar Imam. Magnificent & glorious.

We were blessed with Zahiri Deedar1 at the Aga Khan Centre on 27th June, and the Ismaili centre on 28th June. Today at Ismaili Centre and at Excel. On arrival at the Ismaili centre, Hazar Imam waved to his spiritual children waiting outside. Hazar Imam was very happy to see them and was also very happy to see all his spiritual children.

On arrival at the Aga Khan centre Hazar Imam, went in and came out again. He was waiting outside for Prince Charles to arrive for about 5 minutes. He waved to us. About 100 of his spiritual children were waiting outside for Deedar and to welcome and greet him.

When Prince Charles arrived, he was welcomed by Hazar Imam and he turned around and waved to us. He asked Hazar Imam if they should come and greet us. Hazar Imam smiles and nodded. They both came right up to us. Touching distance. Prince Charles gestured and said so, these are members of your community. Hazar Imam said yes, they are all my children. Hazar Imam shook hands with quite a few of his spiritual children. Prince Charles do too.

Walking back into the Aga Khan centre Hazar Imam waved and blessed those children standing on the other side of the Road. (link for pictures and more http://www.ismaili.net/html/modules.php ... pic&t=9133 ).

There were 2 security guards and one uniformed police man there. They were not the usual Ismaili Security who sadly try to block Ismailis to even see Hazar Imam. There were also many children from a local school.

Friday Morning at Ismaili Centre London. Hazar Imam arrived at the Ismaili Centre at about 10.30. He waved to all his children waiting outside. They greeted
He performed religious ceremonies of Madhan, Bol - Isme Azam in parts of the Ismaili centre, including the Jamat Khanna, Library and Gallery. He was there for an hour.

Inside in one of the Firmans, Hazar Imam said he was very happy & gave many blessings to all present and to their families and Jamats. He said that when we are praying and seeking blessings of Deedar (Bandagi), we must remember there is never any disappointments. We must never think we have failed in not receiving the blessings of divine enlightenment. He said the moment we decide to pray, we are successful. Our effort is the blessing, because we have no right to spiritual blessing and enlightenment. That is a manifestation and not a material matter. He reassured us 3 times that there is no failure. He said we must be patient humble and not greedy. We must wait for the Noor of Imam to receive our prayers (Bandagi). The blessing and grace of Deedar (divine wisdom & enlightenment) is not our right to take, but a blessing which is given to receive. Hazar Imam said he hopes everyone will, at least once in their life, receive the manifestation of these spiritual blessings. He reassured the Jamat that, when we do, we will know and we will have no doubt. He then gave a Bol and Naksh and advised in a beautiful fatherly and soft voice, with a hand gesture not to be greedy with a shake of the head and fingers. “don’t be greedy” He finished the Firman by giving his best best loving blessings to everyone.

Hazar Imam left the Ismaili Centre at about 11-30. About 50 of his children were waiting outside respectfully to see and greet him. The usual Ismaili security (paid and unpaid volunteers), were there.

Afternoon - Before Hazar Imam’s arrival at 4.40pm & Intazaree - The congregational prayers and religious ceremonies to be performed during Deedar were explained by an Alwaez. His name I was told is Karim Nathoo. He said that the congregational prayers and ceremonies are as follows. Hazar Imam may at any time decide to stand up and give us his Firman (decrees/guidance/insights)

1. On arrival Hazar Imam will go first to the suite prepared for Him (The Green Room)
2. He will wear the Imamat Deedar Robe and Hat. He will also speak to the Mukhi, Kamadia & a few Leaders there.
3. Mawla will enter the congregational Deedar Prayer hall, He will walk amongst and bless the congregation (his spiritual children).
4. Alwaez said we will all recite the Salwat. He explained that this comes from Salaam and is also an invocation
5. Imam will walk up to the stage and sit on the ceremonial Imamat Chair (Takth)
6. Imam will then invite the Dar Khanna Mukhi and Kamadia Saheban’s to the stage and to take their place on his left and right.
7. The Chain of Imamat ceremony will then be performed. At this time, we are to recite one salwaat.
a. This chain of Imamat symbolises the divinely ordained authority of the Imam e zaman and the chain of “one” Noor of Imams and the continuity of the Noor e Imams for ever
8. The Tilawat, Quran recitation, and an English Translation. This was also recited before Imam came.
9. A Ginan recitation. This was also recited before Imam came.
10. A Qaseeda in Farsi and then one in Arabic. These were also recited before Imam arrived.
11. Then there will be a Zikhr – This has never been done before in the presence of the Imam at any Deedars. The reason for this change was not explained. The Zikhr will be in the form of a recitation of 3 tasbihs (Prayers), which we know and recite in our religious prayers. This was recited also before Imam arrived.
12. A Homage, Bayah reaffirmation and a Loyalty and pledges will be submitted to Imam, on behalf of the Jamat by UK Council President representing the Jamat. The Jamat was not told what he will say nor were they asked to give him their views.
13. At this time usually Hazar Imam gives his Firman to the congregation (Jamat present)
14. Presentation of the first Nazrana to Hazar Hazar Imam - TKN (details were not given to the Jamat)
15. Presentation of the second Nazrana to Hazar Imam – A Casket – This was explained and a short video and its history. The Jamat had no involvement in any options, cost, or selection process. This was all done by the UK Council President with other selected Leaders and their inner circle.
16. Jamat’s Mehamni’s will be presented by the Dar Khanna Mukhi and Kamadia Sahebans
17. Jamats Memmani’s will be presented by the Mukhi and Kamadia Sakhebans of every Jamat Khanna in the UK Jurisdictions Jamats. (This was requested by Hazar Imam)
18. Abe Shafa Ceremony by Hazar Imam
19. Hazar Imam will leave the Congregation and Prayer hall. He will go to the private green room with Mukhi Kamadia Sahebans & some Leaders. He will remove the Ceremonial Robe and Hat. He will also speak to the Leaders present and give them further decrees and guidance’s (Firmans).
20. There will be the 2 evening Prayers (Limited to 2 Duas and Tasbih only)
21. Dinner, music and Dancing

At about 4 pm the UK council showed a video of the Casket they had bought on behalf of “every individual Murid”, for Hazar Imam as the traditional gift-nazrana. That will be presented to Hazar Imam by “Leaders of behalf of each and every one of us” said the Alwaez. This is a historical antique, & inside it is a munajah scroll of/for Fateh Ali Shah which is in the tradition of Hazrat Ali, which is our Tariquah. Leaders and LIF have never shared this before in other earlier Deedars.

In the recent DJ Deedars, Hazar Imam has asked the Mukhi if the Jamat knew what the Nazrana was. In one case Hazar Imam asked the President to explain what the gift is to the Jamat in his presence. Therefore, they showed this video just in case Hazar Imam asks them, if the Jamat knew. Hazar Imam did and he said yes.

This gift and all expenses are paid from the funds collected of and from the Jamat (community). Alwaez confirmed that this gift is being given on behalf of every member of the Jamat “individually”. And so, everyone will be blessed. However, the Jamat was not given any involvement in the selection, the options or the cost. We did not know what the 2 gifts were until now. The gifts were arranged unilaterally and this was controlled by the Council President, a few Leaders and their select inner circle. The Jamat/community budgets and the use of the community funds and resources are not all given to all the community. That is against the known Firmans of Hazar Imam and our constitution2 which is a firman too 2.

At about 4 pm, Shockingly, 6 spiritual Children, including a devastated 15-year-old, were ready and waiting to recite prayers, and awaiting their turn. They had prepared over many weeks recently and months. Without any notice, they were told their prayers & recitations were all cancelled. There was not enough time. Yet some were allowed to recite prayers twice, before and during the presence of Hazar Imam. This is shocking, and, the responsibility of Mukhi & Kamadia, in consultation with the Chairman of ITREB and President of the Council. The ground reality of, governance, responsibilities, secrecy, and the overwhelming bureaucracy are different.

Also, there were a few of spiritiual Children outside, who were not allowed in and some had come late. I spoke to them. There was no reason not to allow any spiritual child inside any prayer hall, nor for this highest and most important prayers in the presence of the Hazar Imam. There was empty space for over 2500 inside this holy prayer hall.

Hazar Imam arrives in the Darbar hall. Mawla arrived at about 4:40pm. He went to the Green room where he put on the ceremonial Robe2 and Hat. He also spoke to the Mukhi Kamadia and few Leaders there for about 10 minutes.

He then entered and walked amongst his children for about 10 minutes when he went on the stage and sat on his ceremonial Imamat Chair.

Hazar Imam invited the Mukhi and Kamadia Sahebans to take their seat next to him. They were dressed in their ceremonial Robes and green Sarees respectively.

Then the Chain of Imamat was bestowed to Hazar Imam, with a Salwaat recitation.

There were then the following recitations of the congregational prayers;

1 Quran – Tilawat with a translation in English
2 Ginan
3 Qaseeda in Farsi
4 Qaseeda in Arabic
5 Zikhr – 3 Tasbih’s

Address on behalf of Jamat by the President of UK Council. President said on behalf of the Jamat that we are all humbled and grateful to Hazar Imam for gracing us, with this presence and Deedar. He added that on behalf of the Jamat, he conveys Mubaraki to Hazar Imam for this auspicious Diamond Jubilee. “Mubarak”

He added that in the Silver Jubilee Hazar Imam gave to the Jamat the Ismaili centre, and in the diamond Jubilee Hazar Imam gave the Aga Khan Centre to the Jamat. He added that we pray that we have the Imamat for ever more, and we are grateful or appreciate the inspiration and support from Hazar Imam, in matters of Din and Dunya. He added that on this auspicious occasion of the Diamond Jubilee deedar, we all submit our homage to you and we reaffirm our Bayah. And representing all his brothers and sisters, he is make the following solemn pledges;
• We submit to you our unreserved spiritual allegiance
• We pledge our absolute loyalty
• We submit ourselves to you as our Imam, Pir and Mursheed to lead us on the path of Surat ul mustaqeem
• We submit all our love devotion and dedication to you
• We submit our allegiance to you as the bearer of true authority
• We pledge our unreserved and unconditional support for all your endeavours
• We pledge our total support in your work in the. Abuse of Islam, our faith, peace, compassion and human dignity
• We submit our humble gratitude for your constant care, protection, guidance, and inspiration
• We pray for the safety security good health and long life for all who are near and dear to you
• We pray that we be blessed with your Imamat for ever more
He added the prayer that Ya Mowla we pray that you accept our humble pledges and submissions. Ameen

(This are the same promises and pledges made by other Presidents in Diamond Jubilee Deedars since 11 July 2017, and these were also made on 11 July 2017 by LIF Chairman M Eboo, he said representing, and on behalf of the entire global Jamat and the Leaders)

Mawla stood up and gave his Firman with blessings to the Jamat. A short Farman but very important and significant (about 5.30pm)

Hazar Imam said He will begin the Firman by wishing all the Jamat individually, wherever they are, and extended to them his very best best loving blessings for happiness, for peace, for strength of Imam (he said “Iman”), and for Muskill Assan

Khanavadan Khanavadan Khanavadan.

Hazar Imam expressed his gratitude to the government of UK. He said he is very grateful to the UK government for being very helpful and thoughtful. “Thank you to the Uk government” He added.

He said the Jamat is globalised historically, with more institutions in health, education, and other areas. We must use consolidated knowledge. He added that we have the knowledge here. Hazar Imam used both hands meaning the Jamat (not only the Jamat present but the Jamat globally)

Imam decreed to use this knowledge and the competencies for the Jamat and our institutions. And added wherever there is this knowledge, let us use that knowledge, let us use it as anchor for the future generations of the Jamat.
Hazar Imam invited those with competencies to come forward and to serve in our institutions. Imam asked us to think ahead.

Come forward with your knowledge with competencies wherever the Jamat is living, said Imam. And asked us to build capacity with that knowledge. To Use the best and be the best in everything you do, and in our institutions Hazar Imam said we want the best well organised institutions for our future generations of the Jamat

Mawla said he has had the greatest happiness in being with the Jamat. Mawla said volunteers have done exceptionally well gave blessings. Then Mawla added that let there be no misunderstanding that my prayers and blessings are not only for the volunteers but also for the entire Jamat.

Khanavadan Khanavadan

Hazar Imam added that we must seek and happy solutions and equitable solutions because equity is a part of our faith. These solutions must be winning solutions and a win for everyone. Hazar Iman then asked if this possible. He then smiled, tilted his head to the side and spread his hands. He asked is this possible? The Jamat laughed. He added. Do you think so, with his head tilted and both hands extended? Hazar Imam is guiding us to reflect and do what Hazar Imam wishes and has asked in firms including this Firman.

Sadly, these are blocked and copies are not given by the present Leadership with instruction to Mukhis not to give copies of the few selected excerpts they are given. I have asked repeatedly and so have others.

Mehmani’s Mukhi Kamadia Sahebans presented Mehmani for their Jamats in three groups representing entire UK jurisdiction. The first ones were the Dar Khanna Mukhi and Kamadia Sahebans. This was done by every Jamat in every Jama Khannas under the UK Jurisdiction. They were all individually blessed by Hazar who placed his hand on the shoulders of every pair, and then one hand on the Mehmani and his left hand on the shoulder of the Mukhi or Kamadia on his Left. This was very touching and reverential.

The two Nazrana’s were presented. By 2 Leaders and they were explained to Hazar Imam. After that Hazar Imam asked Mukhi Saheb if the Jamat knew about them. Mukhi them said yes. True the Jamat was told about the casket today, but not all the details about the TKN which started a decade ago in the Golden Jubilee.

Two Nazranas were presented and accepted by Hazar Imam. One is the cascat. The casket includes a portrait of Fatheh Ali Shah seated on the throne. Inside were scrolls of Hazrat Ali’s prayers. Mawla was touched and very happy. Hazar Imam then stood up and

Second Firman - After 2 Nazrana’s were presented

The first Nazrana was presented to Hazar Imam and explained to him. The second Nazrana was presented to Hazar Imam. This was explained to Hazar Imam.

Hazar Imam said that my spiritual children spoil me. He was touched and very happy. He said it is his role as a father to spoil us. He said thank you to us for these wonderful gifts. He said I have been told that you know about these gifts. He that gives me happiness a d he gave us his loving and his best blessings for siratul mustaquum, for worldly strength, for long life peace and for success individually, in civil society within the Jamati institutions. Mawla added the prayer that these Nazranas be retuned to us and multiplied a 1000 time.

Kahanavadan Khanavadan khanavadan

Hazar Imam started to leave and walked down the stairs and he was directed to walk to the designated exit door. About 50 feet on he stopped, raised his right hand with his figure pointing to the ceiling. He turned and walked back to the stage with everyone laughing. We though he had forgotten to say something. He then said that he had not expressed his full gratitude for the Nazranas. He said he wanted to come back and say this and he then gave very special blessings for good health, Mushkil Asaan and for happy resolutions, and for siratul Mustaqueem.

Khudavind expressed his gratitude and gave special, special, special blessings for good health, for mushkil asaan and peace. He said that he appreciated the contents of the Gifts and he will reflect upon the contents. Meaning the gifts, Casket and the TKN. He did not mention the TKN nazrana by name and had not in all the Firmans of the DJ so far.

Mowla then once again gave his loving, special blessings for mushkil asaan and for happy resolution, strength of Iman and for siratul mustaqeem.

Third Firman - Hazar Imam was walking and suddenly lifted one finger up, then turned around and walked back with his finger waving in the air

He said. I came back because I have not expressed enough gratitude for the gifts you have presented to me.

Mawla said may TKN nazrana and this gift be returned to the Jamat a 1000 time. Mawla expressed his gratitude and gave special, special, special blessings for good health, for mushkil asaan and peace. Mawla once again gave loving, loving, loving blessings, special blessings for mushkil asaan and for happy resolution, strength of Iman and for siratul mistaken. (5.45 pm)

Hazar Imam leaves Darbar Hall at 5.55pm, and leaves London Excel at 7.01 pm.

After Hazar Imam Left the prayer Hall, and some 30 minutes on, there was an announcement by Alwaez for us to remain in the hall and that Mawla has given messages to the Mukhi Kamadia and Leaders for the Jamat. These will be read to the Jamat in the Prayer hall. Hazar Imam spent 60 minutes with them. These Firmans (messages), were not read and have not been communicated to the jamat so far. (This is sadly a part of the present policy & culture)

After a long walk to the area where special needs and hospital beds were designated. There was an arrow on the carpet signposting back to the doors where Hazar Imam had entered the prayer hall. Hazar Imam took a moment, stood still and enquired with Mukhisaheb which way to turn. He then decided to walk in the opposite direction. I believe Mukhisaheb thought Hazar Imam wanted to have a closer look at the patients, which He did. But then continued to the back exit, where young cadets were waiting to greet Hazar Imam. This was outside the hall and not planned. In addition to the cadets, there were a few families waiting outside who could not come inside. Hazar Imam in his Robe and Hat, nodded and acknowledged them. They therefore also benefited from Deedar. They knew Hazar Imam came to given them deedar. They came from different countries including India and Kenya. I have their testimony too.

At about 7 pm as Hazar Imam left. We saw him live on a video screen talking to many Mukhis and Leaders as he walked to the Car. He took his time to speak to also the cadets. Sadly, all that Hazar Imam said to the Leaders for and on behalf of the Jamat, after he left the prayer hall was not communicated to the Jamat. Despite their promise to the Jamat and the pledges to the Imam.

After Hazar Imam left the prayer hall, the evening prayers (2 Dua &the Tasbih was recited). This was while Hazar Imam was speaking to Leaders Mukhi and Kamadia in the separate room and giving his Firmans for the Jamat and the Jamats benefit. There was also the Awal Sufro. This was accepted by Mukhi at £250,000. The blessings for this was given by the Mukhi to all the Murids present. Sadly, there was no Ghat Pat or Dua Karavi.

Also sadly more than 25 percent of the Jamat had left before these Prayers were completed. Some had to go because they had their non-Ismaili spouses and so long distance back to work too. When the Ismailis reached the area where their non-Ismaili spouses were waiting, they were told that Hazar Imam is still in the building and so they can’t come out. This was blocking them against Hazar Imams Firmans and this has been allowed in the past after Hazar Imam exits the prayers hall and Hazar Imam in the golden Jubilee went up to the and spoke to many and blessed many. Why are our Leaders and volunteers disrespecting Hazar Imam and treating the spouses of their brothers and sisters in this shameful way? Especially after the Deedar and the prayers and the pledges and promises to Hazar Imam.

Then there was dinner music and dancing of Dandia Raas(Rasra). There was no rush at all, there were less than 9000 spiritual children, although the Alwaez said Leaders had said they were expecting 17,000. That is not true.

Thank you all for sharing these wonderful experiences, memories, pictures and video clips. These are available at www.ismaili.net, Including the meaning and significance of Deedar, religious prayers & ceremonies. http://ismaili.net/source/didar-meaning.pdf

My apologies for any errors or omission in sharing the above from me and speaking to my brothers and sisters. Please keep sharing as Hazar Imam wishes us all to do. Do what Hazar Imam says and not others when you know that is not what Hazar Imam has said in Firmans and our constitution which is also a Firman.

Ps Nazrana Gifts
Gifts were presented to Hazar Imam, including a lacquer casket made during the time of the Qajar monarch, Fath Ali Shah, as well as a manuscript titled Munajat.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the Qajar dynasty was established and ruled Persia for over 125 years. The lid of the casket depicts Fath Ali Shah seated on his throne in full regalia. It was Fath Ali Shah who had granted the honorific title of Aga Khan to Mawlana Hasan Ali Shah.

Together, the two artefacts encompass both our spiritual and historical heritage.

Article with references 👇🏽

“ These religious congregations, and Prayers, in the presence of, and presided by Imams, are called Deedars1. Prayers start before Imam arrives. When Imam arrives, prayers continue, starting with a prayer for blessings, and remembrance, called Salwat, meaning “O Allah, let Your Blessings be upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. The family and ancestors of the present Imam, His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan3, are members the family of Prophet Mohammed.
