Dr. Suleman Lalani for Texas State House District 76, The Right Prescription for Texas!

Dr. Suleman Lalani is running for Texas House District 76 in the 2022 March Democratic Primary elections. District 76 is located in the heart of Fort Bend County, Texas, which is one of the most diverse counties in the country.

Dr. Lalani is a longtime physician, who has trained at Baylor College of Medicine and has attended courses at Harvard and Columbia, and he specializes in Primary Care and Geriatrics.

Grounded in strong ethics and his core moral and religious values, Dr. Lalani is a firm believer in community service, philanthropy, and civic engagement. He is a dedicated community leader
with a proven track record of successfully working with many nonprofit organizations, and utilizes his leadership skills to make a positive impact within the community.

The state of Texas has the largest Muslim population in United States and Fort Bend County is home to many Muslims. Inspite of being the most diverse county, there has has yet to be a Muslim, let alone a South Asian, representative in the state legislature.

Community leaders have shown their support for Dr. Lalani’s campaign. State Representative Gene Wu said, “During our national crisis, we need a doctor on our side. It would add so much to our state legislature to have Dr. Lalani. I fully endorse Suleman Lalani.” Congressman Nick Lampson has also endorsed Dr. Lalani, as he believes Dr.
Lalani is the best candidate to represent Fort Bend County in Austin. “Dr. Lalani is the strong accomplished candidate we need to win in November and take back the House, giving Texans the opportunity to correct unfair partisan gerrymandering.”

Indeed, Dr. Lalani is looking to change the Texas Legislature by bringing his medical and business entrepreneurship
expertise to tackle the healthcare crisis, and to elevate the voices of our community. In early December 2021, Dr. Lalani hosted a forum of local small business owners with Beto O’Rourke, who will also be on the ballot this upcoming March. “Entrepreneurs, business leaders, and health care providers want Texas focused on the big things — great jobs, world class schools, and the ability [to] see a doctor,” said
O’Rourke on Facebook. In bringing a community together, Dr. Lalani is running to serve all his constituents.

In his own words, Dr. Lalani is “not a career politician, but
looking at the state of affairs, I want to be at the Capitol to represent my people. My priorities are improving health care access, lowering prescription drug prices, and
increasing funding to and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our public education system. A healthy, well-educated Texas is a better Texas for everyone.” In the 2020 election cycle, Dr. Lalani faced three other candidates in the Democratic Primary in March, and received the highest number
of votes, forcing a runoff election. Now, Dr. Lalani is carrying that momentum forward to represent the newly-made District 76 for the Texas State House of Representatives. It is a new opportunity with new challenges,
but the same Dr. Lalani who has the credibility and expertise to be the voice for his constituents at the Texas State Capitol.

Vote for Dr. Suleman Lalani on March 1st, 2022 in the Democratic Primary. Your Voice, Your Choice. Together, we can do this!

Early Voting will be February 14th-25th, 2022. Election Day is March 1st, 2022.
