Does Anyone Know.. Y GOD has 99 Names .. Is there any Secret Behind it ?

The 99 Names of Allah can be divided into two categories:

The Names of Majesty (jalal) and the Names of Beauty (jamal).

It is said that the Jalali Names are manifest in the Imam-i Mustaqarr and the Jamali names are manifest in the Imam-i Mustaqarr.

I have heard a waez of a senior missionary on this categorisation but I would disagree. Bothe Jamali and Jalali names are the name of Allah, the God with Attribut, The Imam Mustawda.

The Imam mustakar being Essence and beyond Attribute, he can not be the destination of any jalali or jamali attribute.

Jalali = Imam-i Mustaqarr = mazhar-i Aql-i Kull

Jamali = Imam-i Mustawda = mazhar-i Nafs-i Kull

In my opnion you can use any name at any time. The only restriction is that, if you have taken 'BOL' then you should use it during the 4.00- 5.00am Baitul Khayal.

The concept behind using a particular name is that it should make one aware of that particular attribute of God. For example, at times when the attribute of strength and protection is felt needed then people invoke the name of Ali because they can associate Hazarat Ali with physical strength with reference to his pivotal role in many of the battles fought for the cause of Islam.

For some just calling the name of the present Imam makes them aware that he is present with them.

The basic idea behind any form of Ibadat be it prayer, seva or ethical conduct is to draw closer to 'He who is above all else - Imam'.
