I am not aware of any farman on above by MHI, but the guide lines are that once the burial take place the family should perform the chaalismo ceremony within a week or so due to the busy lifestyle. As this helps the close family members to get on with their lives. It also helps to those members who have to travel back to their home/country and not feel left out. Below is one of the reference from Granth to support this ceremony/rites.

Jan-nat Poori - City of Paradise
Composed by Sayyed Imam Shah

Eji Chaaliso Imaamshaahe tyaan puro karyo, ane kariyo te ucch maanhe;
Chaaliso karine chaaliyaa, ane aavyaa Sindh maanhe ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... 16

Having completed forty days in mourning at Onch, Imam Shah left for Sind.

Sure, Hazar Imam talks of the Chalismo in 1957. If you can get it somewhere. it is in the Golden Edition in the first 6 pages. perhaps one of the person who has it can quote it. Hazar Imam calls it "Chellum".

From memory he said it will be on 21st or 22nd August so when we know that 11 July was the death of Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah, it is 40 days from death, not from burial.
