ISMAILI HISTORY- The chapter from Sayfadeen Ali's book..

Post by tharani3191 »

Ya Ali Madad!
a few months back i started my research on the history of Ismailism and began to read different books and webpages ..
however there was a time when i started having doubts about the faith(MAY MOWLA FORGIVE ME) and this was mostly due to the fact that, the internet is full of anti ismaili writings which, i, unfortunately, read...
But then i visited ISMAILI.NET(a friend of mine suggested me this site) and it's, highly informative, forum and while going through this forum, i came across the reference of Sayfadeen Ali's book which refutes the twelver arguments regarding the Imamate of Musa al-kazim..
can anybody, kindly, share the chapter or send me any online downloadable link(if available) as it would help me to a great extent!!! :)

Besides Safadeen Ali there are few other books which also defend Ismailism with twelvers but these books are not in English please let me know which other languages you know beside English, I will suggest you some very informative books which will help you to better understand Ismaili and Ishnashari sects and these books also refuting twelver's arguments and claims.
One humble suggestion please do not rely on the information available online and quit to read Anti-Ismailism propaganda on internet, they do not have solid evidences in it but read more and more trusted history books.and Ismaili.net website.

mate, english and urdu are the only languages i understand..
as far as the anti-ismaili readings are concerned, the first n most blasphemous of them all's Mr.Meherally's "Understanding Ismailism" which in the first place i thought of as a "DEFENDING ISMAILISM" type of a book because the name itself ddnt suggest any "anti-ness"
anyways if u know any urdu book, do let me know but i would appreciate a lot if any of u guys would help me getting SAYFADEEN ALI'S BOOK and sorry if i sound a bit stubborn regaring Sayfadeen'sbook.. :)

If you live in Pakistan then please contact Garden Jamat Khana library and ask the books written by missionary Ibrahim Jusub varteji, in his books you will find detail information about both sects because Mr. Varteji was once Ishnashari and then after he converted himself in Ismailism, after his conversion the Ishnashari started to write harsh words about Ismaili and Ismaili imams and they started to publish pamphlets and books against Ismailism and Imams after Imam Jaffar Sadiq to defend them Mr. Varteji and other Ismailis missionaries answered them writing books in Gujarati and Urdu languages, some books are still available in Pakistan specially
Garden Jamat Khana library if you reside in Pakistan you may contact with the library.
Good Luck.

There are also a number of books by Abualy in Gujrati that were published in the 1940s...ismaili.net might have them in the archives.
