Reassurance of Faith - Help and Guidance needed

Post by NazleenF »

Navroz Mubarak Everyone. Unfortunately, recently, my faith has been shaken, and I can't seem to find peace. Long story short, my mom, a very, very religious individual, was in a car accident and passed away. My brother was also in this accident and has severe brain injuries and is incapacitated. The last few months we have been praying for his well being, and receive no signs or feel no help. Being from a very religious ismailli family, I have always followed the teachings instilled from my parents, but after this tragedy, with no end in sight, I fear I don't know what to believe. Many people have different beliefs of how Allah acts and his will, and I am confused and heart broken. Of course, there is a lot more to the story when it comes to religion, but for now, I am not sure what to do and what to believe and what to hope for. I was hoping for some guidance...
Of course I can go into more detail if needed, but I don't want to overwhelm anyone's guidance or help. Any prayers and information will be appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the tragedy you have to face because of the car accident, I understand that this tragedy is unbearable and very tough for you and may be for your family but I pray May Mowla give you more courage to bear all these problems and I also pray for the eternal peace for the soul of your mom and your brother receive fast recovery from his brain injury.
Sister, human lives always has ups and downs, it never run smooth, there are 99% difficulties and problmes and only 1% happiness in human lives, so don't thing that you are the only one who has to face this kind tragedy problems every one have some kind problems and difficulties, tragedy happens to non- Ismailis too, so please don't disappoint keep faith in Ismailism. It is true that your tragedy is unbearable and very tough
I would suggest you to recite AL -SHAFI" for your brother quick recovery and keep reciting tasbihats and salwats and think and pray that every thing will be ok May Mowla give you more courage to bear all these problems. Keep faith in Almighty Allah he is most merciful.

It really is a very tragic incident sister and our prayers are with your family....

Our holy prophet said in one of his hadiths :

"O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice] : Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you (have need to) ask, ask of Allah; and if you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that even if the Nation (or the whole community) were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with something, they would not be able to harm you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded against you."

* Al-Tirmidhi *

Always remember , allah[swt] is always with those who are patient

"O you who believe! seek assistance through patience and prayer; surely Allah is with the patient."

Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 153

Read, Listen and understand the holy quran nazleen

My sincere prayers for you to come out of this tragedy phase successfully, fast recovery of your brother and eternal peace for your mother.

I fully agree with my all brothers who have expressed their views above. As we exist in this world and given a mode of human body by our Almighty ALLAH so it is expected that we may and would have to go through many physically and emotionally problems during our life. Even our Imam has said many a times and once he said I quote below:-

“I think it is foolish to believe that there are no problems. Life is made of problems, they occur every day, to just about everyone around the world. And I think it is important that we should simply accept, that is life and we must live it fully and courageously. To all of you I wish happiness…..:”

May Mawla bless you to bear at this difficult time of your life and come out of it successfully. Ameen.

Thank you for your kind words and prayers. I am trying to be patient, but it is so difficult when one thing after another keeps failing, and at such a high level! I am trying to say as many duas, tasbis, and prayers I know, and I wish I could see a sign that I am doing the right thing or making the right decisions.

Thank you for your replies.

What do you want to see as a result of your prayers? I believe other brothers already said what's really needed. What's done can not be undone. I know it's really hard, but patience is really the key here. May Maula give you patience and show you the sign that you are looking for.

Nazleen.....You cannot run away from your problems unless and until you change yourself first....The same thing mentioned in holy quran.

Let go of this negative energy !!

Nazleen religion alone cannot help you !!!....Like if you cut your finger and start chanting allah allah .....it wont stop your bleeding right ??....Similarly chanting.....ya ali, ya ali wont bring your loved ones back !!!

As tret said....there's no coming back !!......Think about the future that lies ahead of you.
