SUNNY BELIEVE IN 'PANJTAN"??!!!

Post by agakhani »

I read in one book that there are some Sufis tariqua in Sunny sect? I heard this in many waezs too so it may be right but.... last night I read in this book that there is also one sect call "SUNNY PANJTAN' follower of this sect recognize themselves as Sunnies ('EHLE-WL- SUNNAT) but they also believe in "Panjtan" ( AHLE-BAIT), this is really surprise me and this is totally new for me, I never heard about this before,
If any body else know more about this sect call as 'SUNNY PNAJTAN" then please write it here, I will appreciate for that.

As far as I know, yes Barelvi-Hanafi Sunnis (followers of Shah Ahmed Raza Khan of Bareli, India, who has translated the Holy Quran into Urdu), and are in majority in the Punjab and Sindh Province of Pakistan believe in 'Panjtan' = Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hassan & Hussain (Alaihimussalam). They also believe in 12 Imams of IthnaAshris and frequently visit the tombs of their Saints. The Barelvi Sunnis are considered to be enlightened and moderate muslims as compared to Wahabi/Taliban/Al-Qaeda Sunnis. The Sunnis have four sects (Imam Hanif-Neman bin Sabit, Imam Shafi, Imam Malik and Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal). Hope that you've gotton your response.

GMR,
Your answer seems right, because that author mentioned that they live in Punjab and they are in minority, by the way I am in process to contact with
him so if I able to find anything else besides your info then I will post it here.
