Who are the Alevi Muslims?

I was doing a google search on one of our garbis and I bumped into a Turkish website <http://www.alevikonseyi.de/alevi/12/22/32/42/382.html>

With a Google Translation, I managed to read and understand a bit of the page, and the community's name is "Alevis / Alevism" ..

I was wondering who they were and what are their beliefs/doctrines - do the believe in the Hazar Imam?

There is a reference to a garbi on their website and also have a page "Hassan Sabbah" so is Alevis/Alevism just the Turkish name for Ismailism?
