What is the significance of gathpath daaga? Where did it originate? What do the knots signify? Why are there five or seven knots? I would appreciate if anybody could shed light on this. Thanks.

The significance of Gathpath daaga is that in olden day people belief in black magic so imam Sultan mohammad shah Have asked that you should not go outside the community to get some help from pir (Fakiq) so a daaga was introduction which have some prays by Mukhi and Kamaria and vise versa and significance of 7 knotis i think like some body same share good view about "Significance of 7" satara(7 daya) 7 Aasman if got more about it i will write it

Thank you Nouman for your reply. I am still confused why some daagas have 5 knots? And, what is the significance of the knot itself?

5 knots represnts punjtan PAk....

there aren't 7 knots but 5. These five knots represent Panjtan Paak.

It has seven knots, i am wearing one at the moment and have always known as having 7 knots
