AS RECEIVED
Hazar Imam came to Lisbon-Portugal and was in "Ismaili Jamatkhana and Centre",
>
> To all my Ismaili brothers and sisters,
>
> I just received from my niece in Lisbon-Portugal the following
> good news. Felt like sharing with you guys.

> Yesterday, October 5th, 2007, our most beloved Hazar Imam came
> to Lisbon-Portugal and was in "Ismaili Jamatkhana and Centre",
> from 12-noon to 5PM. HE had meeting with the leaders of the
> Jamat to discuss about schools and establishing an Acadamy of
> Excellence under the auspicies of AKDN. After the meeting Hazar
> Imam was visiting and admiring various parts of the exterior of
> Centre, particularly HE walked around the courtyard (garden) for
> over One-Hour which HE likes it very much. HE asked if the Jamat
> is also taking advantages of such a wonderful courtyard
> (garden) HE sat down on one of the benches of the
> courtyard surrounded with a few leaders of the Jamat talking to
> them in a very happy atmosphere (Like Father with children
> around). Then HE removed his shoes and entered the congregation
> Hall, alleging that HE did not want to dirty the carpet of the
> congregational Hall since a while ago HE was walking in the
> courtyard garden. Once in the congregational Hall HE asked HE
> wanted to sit down because HE was tired. HE sat down in the
> gentlemen side of chairs for senior citizens right across the
> Takht for more than 20 minutes admiring the Hall. HE thanked to
> all the members who are working so hard to maintain the Centre.
> HE stroke with HIS hands the walls of the Centre to verify the
> construction. All this happened the day following the Laila-tul-
> Kadr so I guess the leaders must be tired. The consolation is
> 5th of October was a National Holiday in Portugal.
> After I read my niece's email I really felt as if I were there
> and enjoyed like being present in Lisbon-Portugal.
> Hope you guys all will also enjoy reading.
> With Ya-Ali Mada to all of you.
