What's the point of praying for the deceased.
According to the Quran, when you die, you face judgement based upon your deeds while you were on earth.
If that is the case, I can't see what benifit there is to pray for them other then being a nice gesture.
Praying for Ruhani
YA ALI MADAD
what do you mean by that??
are you not aware in Prophethood there He use to pray Namaz-e-Janaza for muslims who died ??
what is Namaz e Janaza? ... its a sort of prayer that "We pray for this man that Allah may Forgive his Sins"
so,.. all these concepts are driven by Prophet pbuh..
regards,

Let me say that in no way did I want to create controversy or try to convert anyone. In fact, I am Ismaili by birth.
I've always had a lot of questions which when I would ask my parents, I was told were inappropriate. My parents always followed the religion with blind faith.
I really don't know why I didn't, but I've always had questions and I always felt they deserved answers.
Now I've never asked these questions to a missionary, simply out of respect for my parents wishes.
When I found this forum, I thought I had found a perfect avenue to ask all the questions I had and have healthy debate over them.
If I have offended you by asking honest questions that reside in my heart, then I am sorry and I will leave the forum. I had found the forum late last night and these were honest questions I had.
Thank you
