Choice

Post by samirziz »

We believe that nothing happens without the will of Allah. The sun wont shine unless it is told to do so, you and I will not take a breath without his will. In our lives events, decisions occur because it is written for us. Should we believe that when we have to make a choice, or we only think we have a choice, when infact that choice has already been made, So here's my question, has our lives been written already, planned out to the exact specifications?

I would say that man has limited free will.

Certain things (i.e. big picture) is pre-destined (things like our birth, our death, etc.).

We have to remember that our free will exists only because Will is one of the attributes of GOd and we are made in His image.

Absolute freedom co-incides with the status of Divine Freedom and absolute Pre-Destination also belongs to the Divine.

Neither free will or pre-destination can be absolute as far as this world is concerned.
